Like my last topic I am now wondering why you have fun or why you don’t.
And just like my last one I’ll have a poll
I really hope ppl do have fun while playing War Thunder if not idk why you would.
Also how long have you been playing?
I have fun because i just meme, i dont try to take the game seriously anymore, yeah theres times where its annoying but honestly, who cares. Go meme, mess about. Its apart of the game, do whatever makes you happy and lets you have fun.
Also I’ve technically played for around 7ish years, cant find the exact start date from my old account which I lost because playstation succcc)

i have fun using missiles to get kills and i have been playing for 10 years
As you should, it makes the game more enjoyable. Hell, i still take a lower br vehicle up to higher brs because its fun, teammates dont like me because of it but i still get kills and its funny
Need an option for “sometimes”

I have to be in the mood for it, but overall, im bored. The vehicles are cool but get stale, fast. Same maps, same gamemodes, hit play, do the X, repeat. over and over and over again.
Its been a very very long time since Gaijin actually looked at the game we actually play and not just the vehicles.
Ive basically stopped playing Air Sim entirely because im bored of the lack of new maps in 3 years.
Ive stopped playing top tier naval because they destroyed any semblence of balance
Im only playing ground at the moment because of the event, and the only BR I really enjoyed (10.3/10.7) has been ruined this major update with horrific balancing decisions. But kinda enjoying 9.0/9.3 at the moment
and ARB, i jsut cant be bothered with at the moment. Its stale.
I uhh took this a bit to far with the M22 and 8.3…
After 48 rounds I got a nuke with only the M22.
Lmfao, hey we all make our own fun in this game, I’ve done it with some rank 1 british thing. I do enjoy using the fv4005 at 12.7 (BIG HESH BOI).
Even with some other nations, theres some surprisingly fun yet strong lowtier tanks that can be taken up into higher brs
I think the Sweedish tanks would do good bc they have APDS.

I like what war thunder offers. However war thunder being the ONLY game to offer such a thing does mean that the issues war thunder have become a lot more annoying as i cant go to the competitor to get some time away from awful damage models on ww2 russian tanks or BMPTs. Can cause a feeling of burnout from playing similar to how i used to get burnt out playing some video games in tournaments several years ago.
Generally i have fun but more and more times in the last year and a half I dont. Gamemodes are stale, Ground maps are mostly total turds as far as quality goes and the modelling of many vehicles i like makes them run like crap (harrier and scimitar on release)
Really wish that we got some better built maps and total mechanic overhauls over the endless spam of top tier premiums and overpowered russian crap.
Certain groups of the playerbase are insufferable and use racially charged arguments against content going to certain places. Other groups either think this is DCS or WoT, or think the name of the game is America/Germany/Russia thunder.

Atleast they are adding Infrantry.
premiums ruining half the brs only fun i have is customs for most parts and props but even then prop suck cause undertiered bs and toptier takes next to no skill
Which is just gunna get as stale as any ground mode after a few months and them dumping time and energy into Infantry instead of the game most people actually want to play really isnt a good thing. Its hard enough getitng them to fix bug reports for the gamemodes we’ve already got (convoys in ASB still rnadomly decide to go underground for example, I reported that 3 years ago)
But I think the senrai maidens infrantry pack will make more ppl play it…
If Gaijin adds this Ill be so much more confused about what they are doing now that I saw what happens when you press X-ray in the Snowball event tank…
Infantry will still just be 3 point conquest. Its also pretty much just Enlisted but looks a bit less trash, I fully expect the reasons i gave up on enlisted to be on full show in WT infantry mode.
We have no operations/frontlines mode like i adored in battlefield 1 back in the late 2010s, i think that would work really well on some of the bigger maps.
some of the larger maps could easily house several more cap zones if gaijin cant figure out anything other than conquest variants too.
Infantry is also most likley why the updates have been smaller and worse in quality control for the last couple years, they were busy making a new mode when they hardly keep the original three in ok condition
