And yes there is fun in War Thunder.

Fun is subjective. Some people see winning as fun. Others see fighting till your last breath as fun. Me? Mix of both, honestly. Also depends on whether or not my team is trying or just giving up.

oh no i play china so i can be destroyed from 1 shot to anywhere on my turret becuase they havent moddled any breach armour there is none at all and they can fire 16 shots by the time i can fire 2

Sometimes.

This should be split into air and ground IMO. I like 11.0+ the most, and 8.0-9.0 in air, but for ground I like 3.7-9.3. Ever since the player skill level dropped, I don’t enjoy playing air below 8.0 at all, and I don’t like low tier ground either.

My fun is just playing the game.
And since I killed an Object 279 with the XM246
I have been getting alot of 5-8 kill games at 9.3 and 11-20 kill games at 4.3.
I feel invincible but I’m not.
Fun for me is playing the game not facing 2S38’s or 279’s and not having bad teammates.

Yes, usually avoid “top tier” (grb 10.7+) though

13.0 and above is shit right now. You have no way to use your aircraft to it’s full capability. It’s always the one that can spam as many Fox 3s as capable or the one that can do a backflip and kill you with the Russian AIM-9X

I have fun when i am able to beat the system (artificial drawbacks, negative RNG effects, plain stupid BR placements, etc.) and are able to turn around a match totally outnumbered with a random stranger in my team.

depends. i do have fun when flying fun planes, but i tend to lose my marbles a bit when trying to make uncompetitive jets work, like the belgian f16a for instance.

to me fun is doing well and getting frags, so when i die because of balance issues or my aim9m seeker having a seizure or simply going “no you dont get to lock”, i really, really dont have fun.

or when im fighting a p51h in my shitass j5n1, etc etc.

basically war thunder is fun when youre flying meta vehicles, but much less fun when flying stuff that no longer has any real purpose any more.

I prolly won’t get to top tier air in a while because I’m a ground us main.
But by the time I get there it will prolly be even worst.

I start Air RB grind when grinding the Meteor(which absolutely suck) but 9.3 with F-100D has been real fun
Other wise eternal suffering is something I have mastered and I would do it again
