What is your reason behind 1 death leaving?

air realistic battles is where I one death leave ; )

Typically i Only one death leave if I’ve been sweating balls for the team but they still preform ass and i know the game is already lost if or when I die, so i dont even bother with my time respawning.

I’ve been having an itch for this kind of bigger 32 v 32 big warfare operations in WT, I want it so badly, and they have so much more potential than WoT for a gamemode like frontlines where each match can almost take an hour and coordinated efforts between team8s is required to win

In ground there are never normally matches with any significant number of bots. in air there are rare occasions, where there are few people queued where up to half the team will be bots. you’re taking rare examples and presenting them as a norm, that’s tokenism.

Then you’ve never played ground

Most maps are not worth playing. Designed spawn camp zones, forced frontals, etc etc… Basically not fun so leave asap

Server malfunctioning. Been really horrible the past 2 days.

Most recent cause:

Spading particular vehicles. I tend to play a lot more patiently and considerately when I have no backups.

Additionally, when I lose the primary vehicle I’m spading I tend to get impatient with the duration of the map and play my vehicles more disposably and then end up regretting the whole process.

It is hard for me to understand the reasons behind 1DL.

You guys do know that

  1. You will earn MUCH more RP and SL if you are actually playing the game

  2. Rewards are not only based on kills, but on activity and playtime

  3. Even if you are consider leaving, just be a bit resillient and keep playing because if the enemy team has the same amount or even more goofballs like you, you almost always WIN the match.

But i am aware that people who “dont like the map” or “weehhh i joined late” are the ones that will never change, because its not the game but themselves.

So how about a Matchmaking option, where you can select if you want to be only queued up with players that have a full Lineup. That wouldnt erase 1DL, but i guess it would significantly reduce that behavior ingame. And the notorious 1DL could play for themselves and scratch their heads when they didnt make more profit than normal players.

Me personally would take any slightly longer MM-queue without hesitation.

Lately getting Tked so much I just go to ground to leave after one death.

The constant uptiers, bad team mates, and bad rewards

Not that I 1 life, but my god, it makes me want to. It makes me turn the game off to go play something else

Agree ground with bad randoms is litterally waste of time for redicilous rewards.

Its a game afterall and players should be allowed to play how they choose.

It’s easy to assume 1DL are the source of all problems but I’ve also seen many matches where 8-10 players have died 3 times each there may only be a single kill or assist between them.

Additionally, I’ve been playing my single tank lineup and lasting to the end of matches and still they only last a few minutes before one team has a runaway victory anyway.

Long matches where stalemates happen between evenly matched teams are the anomoly. These matches are designed be over quickly.

The answer isn’t solving one deqth leavers, its ground enduring confrontation

Again…THIS^^ is NOT possible. It is a PVP game…so players have to AGREE on how to play.

If you want 32 players to play, they will have 32 “choices” and will not all be the same. Some common ground has to be choosen…or “forced”…

Everyone wants to have the best weapon, the best team and the map they want…can’t happen.
Theoretically you could provide everyone with the same tank and then find 32 players that wanted the same map…but even then i doubt you could make them agree on starting locations, cap points and team composition…
And i add that everyone having the same vehicle would be fair…but boring…IMHO.

NO its free to play game with PVP mode…again anyone can play however they want.

The most important choice being whether or not to play. Every player has the right to opt out whenever they feel like.

Besides, war thunder matches don’t rely on cohesion. Additionally, there are no defined roles or player classes like in seige or overwatch. As long as a team has 2-3 certified killers and a couple of monkeys to hold the caps, they’ve got a good shot at winning.

You’re not gaining anything by forcing uncommitted players to stay in matches an extra 2-3 minutes while they burn through their remaining SP.

Its my opinion that one death leavers are just a scapegoat for players that are unsatisfied with their war thunder experience and I don’t think the game would be any different with or without them

Simple example…if you WANT to play a specific map, and nobody else wants…then you CANT play however you want.

If players leave when do don’t like the map/mode/whatever then the remaining players wont have a full field and that is probably something they would want. At least a similar number of players on each team…

So no…you can’t really play however you want…you CAN leave when you don’t like how you are supposed to play…
BUT…if everyone leaves when they dont get the game they want it will be close to impossible to find fair and complete matches…

You rely on that the MAJORITY won’t leave like you do…or do you think that the 20+ guys that stayed to play on the match you left are playing “however they want”?

Of course not…they compromised to have a match…

I’d like to make an additional point about the utopian idea of teamwork and it is largely personal anecdote so take it with a grain of salt.

I was in a massive clan for about 4 years. It was essentially a not for profit organisation with a website for recruiting players and logging their attendance at activities as well as giving them a rank in a heirarchy. At any time there was about 1500 active members across 40 or so multiplayer games. The purpose of the clan was to leverage teamwork and coordination to generate better outcomes for players.

We met twice a week and would practise mock battles, drills, maneuvers, tactics etc twice a week with between 20 and 40 players.

We cover simple tactics like how to mover a 4 man squad through the map effectively in a loose formation.

How to peak corners, ridges, covering fire.

Tricks for estimating range, how to lead shots. Hot to disable tough tanks before the protection analysis was introduced and you had to use more trial and error in the armour viewer.

Even graphics and gameplay tutorials so our players understood or were at least aware of all the features in game.

We worked exceptionally hard to give players the tools and knowledge for teamwork. Our teamspeak was even setup like a tank platoon with heirarchical radio. Platoon leader talked everyone else listened.

With all that out of the way, we would drill and help players for months, and half the players never got better no matter how hard you tried. If you really dug your heels in and mentored someo ne through a session maybe in the last hour they’d show some progress but you would be back to square one the next day. Players that were committed and had a good attitude just soared and got so much better at the game.

Point is, even if you made every player use a full lineup. The end result for be three death leavers and you would delay the problem by a few minutes at best.

I want to point out that your argument regarding player choice seems kind of silly, it’s as if you’re trying to argue that there’s only two possible outcomes.

  1. Complete freedom of choice and player expression
  2. Any compromise on choice is the same as no choice at all.

It’s not that simple man, even within the rules and framework of the game and the many rules and limitation imposed therein, there is still near limitless room for player expression.

The funny part about this is that the agreement goes both ways. By pressing To Battle button you agree that you can get any map(except one banned map for premium users), any BR spread within ±1 from your highest BR vehicle and that skill balance is probably very random between teams as MM probably does not consider state of lineups. However you also agree you will play with players that have only one vehicle in lineup as it is valid lineup you can get into battle with. And I also think that forcing players to take more vehicles would not be solution as it would only change from taking one vehicle to getting rid of other vehicles(which could be just reserves) or SP (for example spawning plane/heli on airfield and leaving vehicle can get rid of SP quite fast).
