What is your reason behind 1 death leaving?

No, they’re not. tokenism isn’t worth anything.

They literally are. Also “tokenism”???

Sure! Share your thoughts—why do you think the map spawn point distance and game mechanics are the biggest issues? I’m here to discuss and help you analyze it.

1. Map Size and Spawn Points

  • Issue: Players using modern vehicles (top-tier tanks, planes, or helicopters) are restricted to a small portion of the map, sharing spawn points with vehicles designed for World War II scenarios. This design limits the immersive potential of modern warfare and creates a disconnect in gameplay.
  • Possible Solution: Gaijin could scale the map areas based on BR tiers, allowing for more tactical gameplay and giving modern vehicles room to utilize their superior speed, range, and systems. Additionally, adjusting spawn points to reflect technological differences might enhance realism.

2. Lack of Teamplay Incentives

  • Issue: The current reward system prioritizes individual performance (XP and Silver Lions), discouraging teamwork. Players often act selfishly, focusing on their grind rather than contributing to team success.
  • Possible Solution: Introducing better teamplay rewards could shift this dynamic. For example:
    • Extra XP or Silver for spotting, assisting, and coordinated actions.
    • Team-based challenges or objectives within matches.
    • A ranking system that factors in teamwork contributions.

3. Grind Modes vs. Professional Modes

  • Suggestion: Creating separate modes for different player goals could be a game-changer:
    • Grind Mode: Designed for players working on unlocking vehicles, with more forgiving matchmaking and mechanics to help progression.
    • Professional Mode: For experienced players who have completed their grind and want to focus on skill and teamwork. This could include stricter rules for entry, like requiring a minimum number of vehicles in the same BR range.

4. New Player Experience and Matchmaking

  • Issue: Allowing inexperienced players or those with only one vehicle (e.g., premium T-80 users) to join matches diminishes match quality. They often lack map knowledge, experience, and fallback vehicles, leading to early eliminations.
  • Possible Solution: Enforcing a minimum vehicle requirement for higher BR matches would help ensure players are better prepared. For example:
    • A rule requiring at least four vehicles in the same BR range to join top-tier matches.
    • Improved tutorials or introductory modes for new players to learn maps and mechanics before jumping into advanced tiers.

Overall Impact

Your concerns highlight the need for better balancing in progression, matchmaking, and map design. A thoughtful redesign in these areas could improve player experience for both new and seasoned players, while fostering teamwork and long-term engagement.

Proposed Solution: “Warfare Mode” for Veterans

  1. Balanced and Expanded Maps for Top-Tier Matches
  • Issue: Current maps are vast but underutilized, restricting players to small sections while ignoring the potential of diverse, large-scale battles.
  • Solution: Use the full extent of existing maps, adding multiple locations for engagements and objectives.
    • Examples: New zones for long-range sniping, urban combat, and flanking routes.
  • Spawn Point Adjustments: Align spawn points with BR ranges to reflect technological advancements, giving modern vehicles space to shine.
  1. Team Size Expansion
  • Issue: Current team sizes (often 16 vs 16) don’t fully exploit the potential of larger maps and modern combat.
  • Solution: Increase team sizes to 32 vs 32 for a more intense and strategic experience.
    • Larger teams allow for more varied roles, including dedicated air support, scouts, and frontline combatants.
    • Balance gameplay with adjusted respawn mechanics and diverse objectives.
  1. Entry Requirement: Vehicle Decks
  • Issue: Players with insufficient vehicle decks or experience often diminish match quality.
  • Solution: Require 4-5 vehicles within the same BR range to join Warfare Mode. This ensures:
    • Players have fallback options when eliminated.
    • Matches maintain a high level of engagement and intensity.
  • Introduce tutorials or lower-tier training modes for newer players to build their decks before accessing top-tier matches.
  1. Teamplay and Objective Focus
  • Incentivize Teamplay: Shift the emphasis from individual performance to coordinated efforts by:
    • Rewarding spotting, assists, and joint objectives.
    • Creating dynamic, team-based objectives, such as capturing multiple zones or defending supply lines.
  • Objective Variety: Introduce tasks like:
    • Protecting convoys.
    • Coordinated artillery or airstrikes.
    • Defending strategic positions.
  1. Grind and Skill Balance
  • Separate Modes: Offer distinct experiences for players:
    • Grind Mode: For progression-focused gameplay, with forgiving matchmaking and smaller-scale battles.
    • Warfare Mode: For veterans, featuring balanced and competitive matches on expanded maps.

Benefits of “Warfare Mode”

  • Enhanced Realism: Reflects modern combat scenarios with balanced spawn points, larger teams, and better use of map space.
  • Improved Match Quality: Ensures only experienced players with adequate vehicle decks participate, creating a more cohesive and tactical experience.
  • Increased Engagement: Veteran players can enjoy a rewarding and challenging mode, boosting long-term retention.

air realistic battles is where I one death leave ; )

Typically i Only one death leave if I’ve been sweating balls for the team but they still preform ass and i know the game is already lost if or when I die, so i dont even bother with my time respawning.

I’ve been having an itch for this kind of bigger 32 v 32 big warfare operations in WT, I want it so badly, and they have so much more potential than WoT for a gamemode like frontlines where each match can almost take an hour and coordinated efforts between team8s is required to win

In ground there are never normally matches with any significant number of bots. in air there are rare occasions, where there are few people queued where up to half the team will be bots. you’re taking rare examples and presenting them as a norm, that’s tokenism.

Then you’ve never played ground

You imaging or frabricating things means that i’ve “never player ground”? there are almost never bots in ground. And that still does nothing to address that one death leavers are scumbag dickholes.

Most maps are not worth playing. Designed spawn camp zones, forced frontals, etc etc… Basically not fun so leave asap

Server malfunctioning. Been really horrible the past 2 days.

Most recent cause:

Spading particular vehicles. I tend to play a lot more patiently and considerately when I have no backups.

Additionally, when I lose the primary vehicle I’m spading I tend to get impatient with the duration of the map and play my vehicles more disposably and then end up regretting the whole process.

It is hard for me to understand the reasons behind 1DL.

You guys do know that

  1. You will earn MUCH more RP and SL if you are actually playing the game

  2. Rewards are not only based on kills, but on activity and playtime

  3. Even if you are consider leaving, just be a bit resillient and keep playing because if the enemy team has the same amount or even more goofballs like you, you almost always WIN the match.

But i am aware that people who “dont like the map” or “weehhh i joined late” are the ones that will never change, because its not the game but themselves.

So how about a Matchmaking option, where you can select if you want to be only queued up with players that have a full Lineup. That wouldnt erase 1DL, but i guess it would significantly reduce that behavior ingame. And the notorious 1DL could play for themselves and scratch their heads when they didnt make more profit than normal players.

Me personally would take any slightly longer MM-queue without hesitation.

Lately getting Tked so much I just go to ground to leave after one death.

The constant uptiers, bad team mates, and bad rewards

Not that I 1 life, but my god, it makes me want to. It makes me turn the game off to go play something else

Agree ground with bad randoms is litterally waste of time for redicilous rewards.

Its a game afterall and players should be allowed to play how they choose.

It’s easy to assume 1DL are the source of all problems but I’ve also seen many matches where 8-10 players have died 3 times each there may only be a single kill or assist between them.

Additionally, I’ve been playing my single tank lineup and lasting to the end of matches and still they only last a few minutes before one team has a runaway victory anyway.

Long matches where stalemates happen between evenly matched teams are the anomoly. These matches are designed be over quickly.

The answer isn’t solving one deqth leavers, its ground enduring confrontation

Again…THIS^^ is NOT possible. It is a PVP game…so players have to AGREE on how to play.

If you want 32 players to play, they will have 32 “choices” and will not all be the same. Some common ground has to be choosen…or “forced”…

Everyone wants to have the best weapon, the best team and the map they want…can’t happen.
Theoretically you could provide everyone with the same tank and then find 32 players that wanted the same map…but even then i doubt you could make them agree on starting locations, cap points and team composition…
And i add that everyone having the same vehicle would be fair…but boring…IMHO.

NO its free to play game with PVP mode…again anyone can play however they want.

The most important choice being whether or not to play. Every player has the right to opt out whenever they feel like.

Besides, war thunder matches don’t rely on cohesion. Additionally, there are no defined roles or player classes like in seige or overwatch. As long as a team has 2-3 certified killers and a couple of monkeys to hold the caps, they’ve got a good shot at winning.

You’re not gaining anything by forcing uncommitted players to stay in matches an extra 2-3 minutes while they burn through their remaining SP.

Its my opinion that one death leavers are just a scapegoat for players that are unsatisfied with their war thunder experience and I don’t think the game would be any different with or without them
