Free verhicles didn’t change the ODL behaviour.
Do You have any data to back it up or just what You experience?
Look at the screenshot and see the scoreboard ODL and not spawn second verhicle that is provided for free.
So in one game something happened and it means that it is the norm? Or maybe in 5 games?
Again, do You have any data to back it up or just talking out of Your own experience?
As I said earlier:
My own experience and are you lawyer in real life asking for evidence everytime someone disagree with you?
So it will differ depending on server, time played etc.
Sorry that i don’t trust in every word anyone on forum says especially that people are having issues with free SPAA meaning that someone is using this free vehicles instead of ODL
Free vehicles changed my play only slightly. Now if I do not want to play a map I just field and blow up the free stuff and leave so my regular crews wont get locked… haha
I can’t blame you for that if everyone come screaming in forum about verhicles, mechanics, gameplay and updates.
Once i notice that the match is totally 1 sided and facing 100+ (100000000 hours) players i say to myself “im not giving these ***holes the satisfaction of shooting fish in a bucket!“
The biggest reason i 1DL is Match outcome. After playing this game for so long you can almost tell the outcome of the match by where your team all Lemming rush to. In the first 3 minutes of a match anyone with any sort of brain and knowledge of the game can easily see if the game is worth staying and fighting or if your just going to be feeding the opposing team. IDK about yall but i prefer to not feed some loser hiding on the edge of the map looking at the spawn or someone playing the current plague vehicle at 10.3+. I simply will not feed to try and get 1 more kill since its not worth it in the grand scheme of things. Id rather Leave and move onto the next match and keep on my grind.
The biggest issue when it comes to 1DL is yes it ruins the match for others but only if those people did not do anything to contribute to the outcome in that single life. Those who just Hold W in a light tank and get blasted and then leave hurt the game yes. Those who sat and fought for a good portion of the match and then leave arent necessarily the problem as they feel they would have spent thier time better going to the next match instead of Spending time driving back to the fight to possibly just get shot the moment they leave spawn.
Gaijin really cant do anything about the 1DL issue since there isnt just 1 sole reason for it happening. They have given us Free Daily backups (if you have premium time), they have given us 2 free vehicles to use 1 SPAA and 1 light/mbt/ifv and it still has not “fixed” the issue.
The time spent in a match after a respawn is almost always less valuable to progression than the initial push at the start of the match since people die and leave or they respawn SPAA and dont leave the spawn so less targets to shoot and less RP and SL to gain from kills, scouts, etc. 1DL is never going to go away because some people value thier time more by leaving and going next vs as stated earlier trying to get back into the fight with the use of a backup or another vehicle.
You do you. Whatever floats your boat.
How cas arriving after 2 minutes in this single battle is relevant escapes me. It can arrive in 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minute, or 10 minutes. The fact that it is there at all is the problem.
it being the ideal greifing tool when using the greifing camera is just an added level of toxicity pushed into the game by Gaijin.
But again, play however you like. Makes 0 difference to me.
after this new mechanic with free vehicles i WILL leave when i see half the team sitting in a free AA doing F all.
Good points.
I’d go a step further even and pose that it is the very design mechanic of the ground game at the root of the problem. Ground is designed to burn through vehicles. Survivability isn’t part of the mechanic, rather churning through vehicles and allowing CAS maximum opportunity to farm those vehicles was always at its core. When you go back to the early years before cross-map firing modern vehicles, bvr jets, etc, the ground game was simply a way for players to use CAS to farm points.
Lots has changed over time, and none of that basic mechanic has evolved well with the addition of modern vehicles and higher BR’s. Also through this Gaijin has changed its focus to building/selling OP Premiums, greatly distorting the game balance (and basically encouraging players to follow a single vehicle approach to a match).
But mostly it comes down to the fact that the player base doesn’t want too HAVE to play a range of vehicles each match (for the various reasons yo list, and many more). This is a problem because the basic game design requires players to churn through vehicles if a match is expected to last anything more than a minute or two. And there’s the rub. The basic format simply doesn’t allow longer duration games when players focus on only 1 vehicle…be it OP Premium or otherwise.
Only way to change that is to either completely re-write the mechanics of the game, or penalize players if they leave before certain conditions are met. The prior certainly won’t happen, and the latter would likely gut the player base (I could be wrong there, but I certainly wouldn’t be around to see the outcome).
I haven’t left after one death unless I was forced to by IRL events, I stay for as long as possible and play until I run out of spawn points in the match to support the players that have remained. I often get matches where half the team leaves in the first 5 minutes which turn probbable wins into sure losses which is frustrating, but I make the best of what I can work with anyway.
Punishment will never work. Ways to skirt the punishment, players will rebel, and then there’s the possibility of “punishing” players that survived half the battle with original tank, but see the futility of spawning a second tank - why punish them?
No argument here. Hence why I noted in my last post that, should they go that route, I wouldn’t be around to see its effects.
Why not try a reward for staying. Some “Full match bonus” … Free SL? … x2 multiplier?.. A die roll on that fancy loot box… w/e.
“Crew Lockouts” don’t work since many of these people don’t even play more than one tank of their line up anyway. In fact it often punishes those who refuse to be farmed in an already lost match.
Also, one death leaving is whether intended or not often times the more beneficial way to play the game. The initial rush is over, the game bogs down, less SL/RP to be made. While we slug it out and are suffering through a game with little rewards the one death leavers are wrapping up their third or fourth game. Made more SL, more RP, and likely got more score for events too. This is an issue Gaijin refuses to address.
I one death leave due to a number of factors.
-Map I don’t like
-Uptiered with a lineup that can’t deal with uptiers very well without relying on enemies being bad at the game
-CAS’D
-Direct impact killed by artillery in a closed top vehicle
-Knowing we’re losing and not bothering to feed free RP to the enemy
-Only having one vehicle due to crew lock after things above happen (Very logical, punish my 1dl with forcing me to 1dl. Very cool gaijin, thanks a lot.)
-Being outplayed by someone I have no hopes of beating or competing with
-Not getting enough kills the first time/dying immediately.
You get a majority of RP and SL from being in the game, the system sucks
