What is your reason behind 1 death leaving?

One of MANY issues Gaijin refuse to address. Gaijin have treated the community with utter disregard for years now.

Family is a tricky thing, it’s also a matter for me. Sometimes it’s important, sometimes it’s the most pointless thing they call and wail on about, only to fuck up a match.

In my case, it’s either i’m desperately attempting to make a vehicle playable before premium runs out(iirc get rid of the stock HEATFS wasteland), got ganged by the mob of BMPT imbeciles or just can’t stand the knife fight maps at top tier like Rhine.

But the wallet boys just leaving after their premium dies sure is a hassle. Even without lineups, you gotta try to fight. With Segol recently, even though i only had it, AMX 13, and M51, i kept going with Sabra and Merkava Mk3 to try and squeeze in some extra RP.

One/Two cap gamemode makes me wanna quit, they just suck

Any game when they are in the spawn after 2 minutes and the flanks are unprotected or team has collapsed is a waste of time.
Especially if the machines feel underpowered in the first place.
Any time I feel Russian bias like not detonating a Russian MBT side on at 90 degrees in the side centre of mass, then it turns and kills me.

im playing 10.3 and 10.7 (not russia)

And when one of the BS propaganda wonder machines is spawn camping within 3 minutes, then i’m off.

I do not pay for premium time to entertain a bunch of people playing on easy mode.

It’s that simple

Just finished a GRB where enemy team had …
3 x 4.3 vehicles
1 x 4.0 vehicles

Our team had
1 x 4.0 vehicles
and a mixture of 3.3 (me) and 3.7 vehicles. ZERO 4.3 vehicles

Now why the hell would I stay in that battle?

Yeah, NGL. Seeing full uptiers just makes me not spawn. I’ll go do something more productive instead. Especially when it’s 10.3 vs BMPTs.

If people want to quit, that is their choice but there should be a GLOBAL crew lockout, not just the nation they quit.

Seriously? How is it “their choice” if there’s a global lockout?

Did you even read my post just up above?

SMH

Maybe matchMaker can’t control balancing by skill, but it sure as heck can do a better job balancing teams by BR.

Battle was a complete curb-stomp.

Many players want to be able to leave when they think is “fair”…but want OTHER players to not be able to leave the games they want to play…

If players want to play on maps/uptiers/BRs/whatever they like to play, they must also play on maps/uptiers/BRs/whatever other players want to play…

These topics make me realize MOST players want to play a rather narrow set of conditions they like…and don’t see the “irony” that this is actually what makes OTHER player ODL their favourite matches…

Because they added idiotic Russian tanks like the BMPT to the game.

“You don’t want to be fodder with a 10.3 line up against a full team of BMPTs? This means you’re at fault and unreasonable.”

Yes, indeed. Very ironic. And I never asked for full downtiers anywhere, much less demanded people let themselves be farmed by me, did I?

I do not understand where half of this response came from. Nowhere in this thread do I see anyone make the demand that other players must stay and let themselves be farmed. If I get 3-4 kills and the match ends quickly in my favor or not, I’m relatively happy because I can get right back to gathering RP in the next match.

Well i phrase it differently…players should fight to the end in order not to leave their team at a disadvantage…
You have LOTS of players complaining that ODL leaves their team at a disavantage and is the cause of losses…

I played team sports…nobody would leave the team mid match even if losing bad or if the ref was biased…we would play to the end, admittedly also because there would be social criticism if somebody quitted…

Even so…i do think many players leave WT matches too soon and/or without a “valid” reason…and that makes the game worse for MOST players…IMHO.
If you want to play a “solo” game and play for 3/4 kills and move to a different map that looks fine enough, BUT i do believe this is not the idea behind the game. I like the “team” part, even if it does not work perfectly…

Team sports and online gaming are not even close to the same thing.

In Team sports, if the players are not playing “as a team” they will be benched or even removed from the team.
In online gaming, there are no repercussions because players are not playing “as a team”. They are free to do whatever they want, even if it is detrimental to the team.

You aren’t comparing apples to oranges. You are comparing apples to ground beef.

When a bunch of players are just in the battle to “do their own thing”, they do not deserve the support of players who are there to play the objective. This is one reason why I might exit a battle early.

Team games are team games…you win or lose as a team…apples and online apples IMHO. I am not naive…i get your point, i just don’t (fully) agree.

That said…the point you make above is actually what i disagree most…it is even odd as players that say it don’t see the irony…you are saying you decided to be a bad team mate because you have bad team mates in the team!!!

I got bad team mates a lot…some even push me into the fire or shot at me…i don’t care…i play to the end. Hell…i have some games that i spawn in a surrounded spawn just to try to get a final kill while i am invulnerable…

That’s your choice to stay with a toxic team.

Don’t presume to decide the same for everyone else.

It is important to note that WT is not a team game in any meaningful way. No instance based game is. Sims like Aces High (or it predecessors War Birds and in the beginning Air Warrior), you belonged to a country and were bound there. You fought together with teammates and built long term relationships with them. You also built friendships and respect for your adversaries. It was a community and you were very much part of a team.

There is none of that in WT (or any instanced sim). On the contrary, the game focuses on the individual at the expense of the teammate. In a given match players constantly hinder those on their own side and are often encouraged by the game rewards to not assist them, or in fact outright block them. And those that were beside you one match will be against you in the next. There is no “team” here.

If you want any sense of “team” in these instance based games you need to join squadrons/companies/etc and engage in the organized squad -vs- squad matches.

The random games aren’t team games. They are populated by a random smattering of individuals (not a team) and build around an inherently individualistic scoring model. In the context of this thread, 1DL actually makes a ton of sense.
