What is the real problem with bombing in planes?

and that is half the issue, most of those arent targets anymore

It’s quite telling how I legitimately enjoy ground-pounding in Il2 to the point I even make clips of attack runs while for WT I only ever do it if I feel like we need the tickets desperately.

Having fun targets to attack makes all the diff.

That is problem of players. Plane lets you get mix of both a2g and a2a ordnance. Can bomber do the same?
Also its not just missiles thing. Its other abilities too. You can fight other planes on f104 for example. Less efficient with bombs on you. But you can do that. Bomber cant do that. It can only pray.

And bombers often end up not even reaching targets at all. Fighter is still wee bit more useful but whatever. And again. Just like in case of loadouts, players get to choose between leaving or fighting ppl.

Said that as if r60ms are smth decent. R24s are main juice of mig23 and you dont have to give them up for napalm.

Exactly, you are getting it now. Fighters can do both. Strike aricraft cannot.

Fighters are good in PvP but players are choosing to not engage in PvP
Strike aircraft are usually only able to do PvE but are forced to engage in PvP

Exactly, its especially frustrating when you do reach the targets and they’ve all been taken by fighters

Really?
200 tickets per base, how long you want bomb for a win on a 7500 ticket map?
There are some exceptions, but in general you can say: If you decide to bomb bases, doesn’t matter which plane you fly, your goal isn’t to win the battle, you only want to gain ressources.

Masochism or bad tech tree research decisions. Or they are using su7 which is still capable of hogging 2 bases + bots + players after br raise.

I mean yeah, but thats exception to the rule id say.

You are saying that as if all fighter players are like this.
And if we look at greater scheme of things. On stage of choosing aircraft. Fighters with pvp abilities in mostly pvp mode. Or strikers/bombers which can only become free kill in mostly pvp mode. People sometimes choose second option. As Beeschurger said, it might be mod grind. But then some fighters could be justified as well. Like f4j which can face f4s while not having its full kit. And then you may say that there are premium fighters which dont need mods to research. Well, there are those things as well:

And people still choose to play them.

Gaijin could fix this by making stronger targets or adding more of them. But gaijin is interested in suffering, frustration and you investing ge for mods/xp/premium.

You are right it doesnt matter if anyone bombs base. No job to do so removing bombs from fighters so the strike and bombers have their fun and get some silver makes sense

You’re confusing fun with abuse.
