Overhauled CCRP (how it works and what settings for configuration are available) and addition of aircraft navigation, even in a basic format, that way proper lofting can be added.

Air to air refuelling would be great for sim or even just to mess about with in test flight. But the maps would need to be bigger for it to work properly.
3rd person TGP aiming just so it could also be worked into sim so you don’t need to use the dedicated TGP view which would be great especially for in VR. This could also be worked into the TGP MFD’s to make them functional.
This exists in naval although leviathans simplified it pretty heavily

Being able to remove tank skirts or other 3D additions of a tank to create more unique player vehicles.
Also foldable parts, like the sides of a VFW. Animate them so you can switch on the go instead of having to toggle it in the hangar. With the current SPAA animations, this probably wouldn’t take much to get working.
The ability to test drive more tanks than just the next in line and premiums, and have the ability to choose the different modifications in test drive

Open-top vehicles will now have crew that move. Likely just inertia/movement and not loading, but it’s cool to think about regardless.
make an entire new class for IFVs and give them the ability to drop infantry on points so they can hold them and make time. (like infantry AI did in the WW1 event)
Honestly, idk if it counts as a mechanic but actual damage values in the game and not this broken mess we have now. Pair that with an actual matchmaking that lets everyone have fair games and it would imrpove immensely.

First off: No. Inputting trim while G-locked is a valid way of testing aircraft, and needs to remain.
Second, what do you mean by the first part? Do you just mean the 2nd sentence or something else?
HARD NO.
Making the controls clunky is going backwards in time. Hard no.
If you want a solution to your real problem, the solution is a delay when the aircraft is maneuvering, or inertia.
Leading for landing and cover me also give location reports. Informing players of them is easier than adding another dedicated location report.
