As a Japan player primarily, and with the relatively recent removal of the R2Y2 folder and talk of removing the Ho-Ri, I want to discuss everyone’s opinions on whether it is better to have unique concept vehicles, or repeat vehicles from other tech trees to fill the space out. I personally think that concept vehicles make for much more variety of gameplay, but I know that others may prefer the increased realism of sticking with real equipment, even if it is reused.

I am gonna prefer anything to copy pasted slop. I’d actually agree with paper vehicles once a tech tree runs out of real vehicles that fit the criteria and their subtree(s) can’t fill in that blank either. That is why I believe Japan can get O-I, Type 120, and other paper heavies. Same with Sweden and the Kranvagn. But they 100% should not be added when there is real vehicles to put there instead

On the one hand, Gaijin just C&P and said ideally if the vehicle can use something, then it should (SU30 and Japanese F16)

If the Coliean, Tiger II 105 and Panther, along with the R2Y2 are removed, then why shouldn’t the Senrai Maiden tanks be removed?
My personal opinion. I honestly dont understand why some people are so against paper machines like it was some kind of plague. This game is far from realistic anyway and not even close to a sim. I rather see cool unique paper vehicles in major updates, battlepasss, events etc then the same low effort copy and paste trash and this goes for air, tanks and naval. It also allows gaijin to modefy them and tweak their stats more freely if they are too weak or too strong.

Gaijin doesn’t want to put money on that, because that will require a lot of time and then building new models. Compared to Cold War vehicles, Paper vehicles are hard to C&P.
