One of my pet pevee is the insane inbalance there is in the ammount of AAs there is.
Some got all BRs covered, and even got light tanks with fast shooting pewpews, TB with proxy missiles and grenades, while other can throw rocks or whatever.
If Gaijin don’t want to make a ground only mode, then atleast give people a fighting chance, because in the great rock/scissor/paper game, they are giving some nations adamantium scissors, while others get a blunt pink plastic kindergarden scissor.
Nah…I am here to win; the enemy team…they’re here to win too, but my teamates well… they’re here to have “fun” like you say without caring about the outcome hence my win rates lately aside from other things like ghost shells, constant uptiers, getting one shotted while needing multiple shots of my own for kills etc.
Gambling - this is more personal, but as WT gets more and more mainstream in terms of player count, this could pose a big issue. All those roulettes, lootboxes and wagers everywhere. Personaly I hate it, but I also think they can get in trouble with that as WT is getting more well known.
Progression creep - Recently I came back to try WoWS again and couldn’t believe how low amount of real players were in lower tier matches with the rest of slots filled by bots. It got very boring very quickly and its essentially scaring away new players too imo, making it even worse. And I think this will happen to WT as well in the near future, unless they actively try to engage its current playerbase in lower Rank battles.
Mainstream - as the game gets bigger, devs are going to be naturally pulled towards mainstream behavior in order to be able to manage increasing development complexity, further lower queue times and optimize the game for further growth, because there is no way, they would want their player count to stop growing.
This will result in prioritizing the most popular part of the game and in content cuts in parts which are more niche, like simulator battles, or even different modes or objectives in current modes and leave just the most played mode. There will also be tighter rules for everything resulting in less experiments and options in the game overall, so even new more niche vehicles won’t be that much different in terms of gameplay than already existing content as it will have to fit some existing categories
The most played modes are going to stagnate, because they will be afraid to experiment just to avoid breaking it in any way and they wont try to develop new modes to not eat away player counts in its most played modes to prevent longer queue times.
I would say the difference of treatment depending of the nation. While some are blatantly advantaged and showered with vehicles and features, some are left to rot
8.0 BR Germany, either I get uptiered into unplayable things, spawnkilled, or killed by someone with stabilizer so its easy to peak me. Also ignorant teammates are big issue.
For me and its my opinion but its the grind…mainly in regards to RP rewards…back in the early days i could understand their were less nations and vehicles all together…but now we have a lot of vehicles (if not too much) for air, ground, and even naval i feel like they should ease the grind better allow us to get even higher RP intake and unlock both vehicles and modifications much faster for both non and premium players…there are tons of nations and vehicles and more too come im sure they could at least let us unlock things quicker…in particular modifications.
The biggest problem for me is the map balancing, and the overwhelming amount of city and CQC maps that leads to repetitive MBT meta gameplay, and leaves a lot of light tanks without much purpose or chance to play their intended roles as fire support vehicles that can assist from a safe distance. Top tier maps should be 350m squares minimum, with 550m being the standard for 9.7+ BR
BR compression is also something they should tackle eventually, 8.0 to 9.x is borderline unplayable and frustrating to play.
The biggest issues in WT are by far, spawn camping being by air or ground does not matter. Even in AirSB this happens. I recently had 5 SU27 players in vicenty of the airfield trying to shoot everyone down.
Yesterday we had a 1 CAP zone in Poland, within the city. Our team captured the zone and the first wave of reds were gone. I stayed on A to defend, the rest went straight onto the spawn zone. Silly enough, we had 3 opponents that slipped through, ended up being in the city with me. Although me pinging minimap and warning by chat no one moved back from spawn zones. No one helped me. I took out 2 and the last Leo2 took me out. At least I was able to spawn my F16C and shoot down two planes while contemplating the rest of my team dying in front of the red spawn zones. We lost the match.
The other issue is obvious antisemitism or even anti Ukraine. No match passes, if I spawn Israel in which i would not get shot at, blocked or even Tk’ed by helos of own team. Same for the russians. I one spawns a single Ukr flag, you always find some russian players that drive into your tank and instead of playing the block you all the way and even launch artillery. Same here I had a few, same team in their names, which deliberately attacked all own players. They spawned KA50 and started killing players.
Technically you cannot address these issues, these are childish people that are not grown up enough and destroy the fun of others.
There are technical issues which are sort of nasty
Maps which have been modified for the worse. These allow better spawn to spawn shots
Tanks burn down by fire recently. You are there unable to do a thing, blocked for minute before it anyway explodes.
VR labels down match between right and left eye. Not fixed since month!
Radar target distance in aircraft HUD and ingame HUD are not matching. Game lock says 16 miles, but doesn’t show on 19mi radar scan area, and in F16C hud the locked target appears as 8mi distance. Which on shall I believe now!!!???
Thrustmaster F16 TQS switches/sliders/lightning not fully supported. Most of it not working.
SL / RP rewards in GRB / GSB compared to ASB
Terrain anomalies. In some maps I can drive under a hill, flat and reapear on the other side.
Visibility behind solid walls. I realized that even with engine off some other player were able to spot me behind a house or parked in a hangar. Either it is cheat or some game settings that allows them to see me. Or maybe it is just like in VR, if you stand up and walk in your room, you can walk around the corner to check and see if someone is there - Careful when doing this, you might fall over your physical chair !!!
Low amount of skins admitted to marketplace. There are some many nice skins for F-16 in the community but you cannot use them.
Lastly, GJ selfish decisions and stubbornness to modify reality. Merkava 3 tanks having wrong shells while reality is that Merkava 3 uses same shells as Merkava 4. But for BR they switched it. Stubborn to accept public documents to build upon and at the same time, condemning people that leak confidential or even secret info. I think GJ should accept public trusted sources otherwise we never get certain modifications done.
AH-64A/D continuous without cockpit, why?? DCS has a AH-64D and the layout is no secret.
IFF is still not working well. In my F-16D I still get F15 Baz displayed as foe in ASB. In GRB I even get own F16s as foe. Happened to me yesterday several times.
I have tried to report the VR label issue several times - not being accepted as I cannot provide proper screenshots. There is no proper way to screenshot VR right and left eye issues. I have given up on contacting support.
