Weather bans?

Lmao.

Hidden as imho off-topic.

You simply forget to distinguish between official narrative and actual reasons for certain events. The JP boys never had a chance due to missing oil (which forced them to go to war outside China in the first place). With a regular and negotiated peace there would have been no need for an invasion.

The fairy tale that there would be a need for an unconditional surrender in order to punish war criminals is a joke. The same people responsible for atrocities where later whitewashed and recruited (SS & Co, Unit 731).

The war was won in 1943 - the sole purpose of continuing was to keep the war economy booming and to weaken potential adversaries (even if they were allies). The goal of “unconditional surrender” produced a reason to continue the war and to create / cement areas of influence.

So i don’t blame you to follow certain narratives, but you look smart enough to come to your own conclusions.

Regarding the topic:

The discussed content is basically the same as in this thread:

The translation of the page is quite awful, as the original page does not say that selected as candidates, just “considered”.

My native language is Japanese and I have read the untranslated websites.

I don’t talk about this anymore because it is offtopic but, I really recommend to find both language documents.

I have never, in my life, heard of an irl dogfighter taking place in clouds. Heck, even relatively mild weather conditions have left bomber fleets without escorts.

This is actually pretty incorrect. Most military aircraft wouldnt receive clearance to fly in most of these conditions due to the likelihood of pilot death. Life isn’t Hollywood.

this is a joke right?
What next?
Ban vehicles you dont want to fight against?
Only ever go into matches where you have the advantage?
For everyone?

I am literally lost for words with this playerbase of the last 5 years.

So, you enjoy dogfighting in these conditions?

yes.
I like variety.
The weather can also be used to your advantage.

A game with only the same weather is hardly an improvement on immersion.

The Sega Megadrive has pretty samey environments and lack of immersion if that is what your into.

Go into your replays and see the last time you had a clear map. How many out of 20 battles are clear?

If we’re talking immersion, you won’t be doing a dogfight in a situation where the only reason you can see your opponents is the floating red markers or glitchy rendering.

Gaijin has never heard of clear weather before. Completely unheard of to them. It may seem like a radical idea but not every map has to be “cloudy” as clear days do exist.

There are PLENTY of clear matches.
OR - let me guess, only playing 1 or 2 specific high tier br’s?

I play just about every BR. Ground Real and Air Sim. Looking back through my replays, its all cloud or storms or overcast. I haven’t seen a clear weather map in a while.

Also constant “Evening” matches if we include that. I’ve given up on “evening” lobbies as you veritably can’t see anything unless you fly on the ground.

I have experienced it to be 50/50.
I mean clouds exist irl, weather is real and normal - dont really see a problem.
Can be used either offensively or defensively.
I think banning weather conditions is absurd - I should not have to explain why. It is ridiculous.
Can I ban fighting against fighters?
Can I ban playing against a specific nation.
I will only fly or tank what is the best vehicle - but I expect the same of any vehicle I play.
Can I ban fighting against enemies with a better round?
Can I be put into a match with bombers only?

Can we not just play the game and enjoy it for what it is rather than demanding everything single aspect of the game be in our favour every single time?
Do we actually want to play and enjoy or do we want to be presented with absolute bland, unengaging and non diverse gameplay?

Post a screenshot then of your replays bud 🤣 I want to see if someone is pulling all the luck from the rest of us. Because at this rate I am IFR certified in WT 🤣

The Weather exists, yes.

Said weather also tends to lead to grounding of aircraft.

Some clouds are OK, but “Low Cloud Cover” as a weather should not exist.

Please refer to my post here for examples for acceptable and unnaceptable weather.

Deal with it, what else? come on dude

As absurd as banning flying in certain weather conditions? You know those maps when you take off in hidden valley on the clouds and the entire terrain is hidden by clouds. Not in a million years would any nation waste pilots if they had a large risk of running into terrain. I don’t think weather should be banned, but low altitude clouds need to be drastically reduced to minor fog or removed altogether, as those are not realistic flying conditions for combat mission, and more clear days should be seen.

Majority of the maps are absurd both air and ground in terms of active battlefields/ engagement zones.

There are many absurd things ingame if related to realism or being 100% accurate.

The point here is I think banning particular weather conditions is not conducive to gameplay, immersion, queue times etc and is just another example of “please cater the game to my specific wants” - which may sound great to many - but they fail to consider how it could be applied to thousands of other players also.
We cant all have it our way.
This is the game, play it.

Weather absolutely exists. Not saying it doesn’t. But that does include clear days with little to no clouds. And I havent had a match in close to 100 games where there wasnt clouds dominating anywhere between a third to three quarters of the map. It gets old.
