The 12.7 Premium F18s from the USA and Germany have no place on this BR.
The AIM7Ps are simply bad, have a lot of duds, and you have uptier in every round.
Actually, this generally affects the 12.7 BR in all nations. Fox 1 vs. Fox 3… AIM120 spam vs. an AIM7P with a hardlock….
Either a BR adjustment is needed so that you’re no longer constantly playing against R77s and Micas, or, for example, matchmaker needs to be set to 0.7 instead of 1 BR up or down.
Alternatively, buff the AIM7Ps a bit and reduce the failure rate.
Idk if im just super lucky or what but im basically in a 12.0 match every single game, I play prime time / late night on NA servers.
These 12.7 planes have no business fighting 12.0. But ya it sucks you are woefully outclassed by a lot of 13.0, but there is just no way these can go down.
I also don’t think aim9p are that bad, sure they aren’t r27er but i feel like if you launch them right they are hitting 80% of the time. They do a lot better when you fire them from alt and can get over mach 1.10 at launch.
this jet is fine, its superior to the mig29 at the same BR and is better than I’d say most 12.7s besides the f-16adf who its about equal to. Sparrows always have weirdness that you can’t tell is a feature or a bug and that can be worked on, but the plane itself has no business at 12.3 and the plane has no business receiving 9Ms without a BR increase.
If you get up-tier to 13.7-13.3 from 12.7, it’s a bit tough.
The difference in weaponry between 13.7-13.3 is too great. Fox 1 vs. Fox 3 isn’t exactly fair. You can get some things done, but the AIM-7M or AIM-7P, for example, have to be there. The R-27s are pretty reliable, which can’t be said about the Sparrows. Therefore, a better separation would be needed to keep things a bit fairer.
This has little to nothing to do with skill issues.
So am I, Its my 3rd most played plane. And that is ridiculous. You want a flying brick with missiles to be the same BR as the F16AJ which has the same 9Ls, only two less 7Fs, the same radar, and with such a massive increase in flight performance its not even funny.
Its already the highest BR phantom in the game along with the Kurnass, aside from the German one that has AIM-120s at 13.0 that from what I have seen so far is basically unusable at that BR despite the missiles.
Even the F-4S which has agile eagle and 6 7Fs AND an HMD at 12.0.
Its perfectly balanced at 12.3, there is zero reason to raise it.
