Thanks for proving your post is the only one mentioning the Mirage 2000C4.
So why mention the Mirage 2000C4 if that’s not your personal stance?
Decompressing 13.0 would give breathing room for the most powerful 12.3s to move to 12.7 where they belong.
EJ Kai, Mirage 2000C4, and F-18A are notably more powerful than Kurnass 2000, Tornado F3 [currently 12.0], and Mirage 2000DR1.
Name a plane that would be equal to the EJ Kai:
F-14A easily. Worse IR missiles, lower countermeasures, equal radar missiles, better flight performance, worse fuel consumption. AIM-54 is worse than the F-14A’s other missiles known as AIM-7Fs, as AIM-54 is purely a skill check missile.
Mirage 2000D RMV: Only has flight performance and IR missiles over the EJ Kai.
There are a lot of under-BR’d 12.7s due to 13.0’s compression.

My point was more towards the fact that you can push the F-4EJ Kai as hard as you want, as you can launch FOX-3 to force it onto the defensive, along with the AIM-7F for when it re-engages.

That has been my take since F-14A was first introduced, and I’ve seen zero evidence that would warrant me changing it; and that take is exclusively as a recipient of the AIM-54 locks from Mirage 3C to my own F-14s.
I did attempt the perfect play once with AIM-54s, and the 2 frags were so uninteresting that I went back to my 3+ frags using AIM-7s that can actually hit maneuvering targets.
The range “limitations” of R-27ER and AIM-7F have never been an issue, and keeping lock is a skill to hone which I’ve done.

Its BR vs AMRAAMs wouldn’t change because those would go up as well.
Also AIM-54s have never made me defensive against an F-14; if anything it made me more aggressive as it told me where the F-14 is to close distance in my aircraft with RWRs.

Only guy mention about 12.7BR EJ Kai is you and nobody agree that in this topic atm.
I mentioned about M2K C-S4 because it is already cracked at its BR and not really needed 13.0BR decompression for makes it higher BR. I can also say C-S4 is even better than MiG-29A in many points.
Again… You would like to see EJ Kai has same BR with F-16A Block 15 ADF and MiG-29A or anything else what I missed?

My only statement was decompression; which at minimum would imply things as good and better than EJ Kai would move up as well [from 12.3 and from 12.7]. If you think an aircraft is better than EJ Kai, then we agree that they shouldn’t be the same BR.

Yeah, evading Phoenix itself is one thing, but an insane combo of AIM-7F and dogfighting capability, which will follow, is another. :(
especially when he brings up the era of the F-14 at 11.3 to argue about the F-14.
Personally thinks that F-14A without AIM-54 maybe could be considered as a sidegrade version of F-4EJ Kai.
But as long as F-14A retains Phoenix. Even though the advantage of AIM-54 might not be big enough nowadays, I still think F-14A can’t be equivalent to F-4EJ Kai.
Maybe if every current 12.7BR jets (F-16ADF, MiG-29, Mirage 2000CS5, and more) go up by decompression, then F-4EJ can sit an empty 12.7BR seat along with other 12.3BR jets…
But yeah, in the current meta, which MiG-29 with R-27ER is on 12.7, I don’t think F-4EJ can be 12.7BR.

It absolutelly cant, even on full AIM-7F is better than the EJ Kai by a long shot
Lucky or unlucky, I posted a bug report on the TF30 throttle response just a few days ago. If they fixed it correctly, it will be a bit of a big blow for WVR, although it won’t change anything in BVR because everybody goes full AB entire games.
