Naval as a whole I feel will be the next line of focus for development as it has been picking up after the aiming redo, and I feel it shall do so even more after the aforementioned vertical plateau of the air tech trees. This will naturally include submarines at one point or another and they might finally figure out how to make shooting into eachother’s spawns on every naval map be impractical, the straightforward answer to that question would be just to either make the map such a scale that the guns are simply out of range or to add gigantic obstacles so that the ballistic trajectory of the shells simply cannot surpass them.
Furthermore I’d also expect a whole rework of the br system for the ships there and the aircraft.
As for your point about the bomber spawns and the lack of radar-guided defensive armament, this naturally goes hand-in-hand with the vertical plateau, it’s an inevitability and only a question of when this is implemented and when they’ll make sure the F-117 gets it’s bomber airspawn.
Regarding copy-paste vehicles I can’t say banning them is the best way to go about it since Gaijin also uses them to fill holes in tech trees, which makes the trees more playable so we can’t discount that they’re a pragmatic solution to a niche that can’t be easily filled. What my solution to this be is keeping the copy-paste vehicles in BUT once the variant of the vehicle is researched in one tree, it shall become discounted in the others in terms of sl, rp and modules under the condition that it has been spaded in the other tech tree, which I feel is completely fair in that circumstance. As for premiums, it’s undeniable that surges of those come, after all, Gaijin is a company and it has to make it’s money somehow, and if you ask me, I’d rather have copy-paste premiums rather than original vehicles locked behind a paywall. Keep in mind, this isn’t a simple issue for anyone to solve, and currently they’re kind of walking the line between outrage of one group and another. As for the AI controversy, this I assume would be a one-time slip up because no one wants their company to be known for AI in their products, as the general public holds the perception of the same being low-quality (I subscribe to that line of thinking), and finally for their developers, they’ll undeniably have a certain portion of their staff be less engaged with development on multiple fronts as they had them now, within the near future, resources will probably be more concentrated on QOL, tertiary and secondary features so whilst expansion of the team may be possible, I find it to be unlikely, and money will probably go towards servers or something like that in my opinion.

With all the resources being poured into esports tournaments, I think something like that internally could be prototyped and poured into the main game, but with it you’d probably see a lot more moderation efforts being poured in simultaneously.

The problem with this is that they make the copy-paste premiums and the “original” vehicles behind a paywall or an event that is either not fun to play and doesn’t ahve variety due to the fact that each individual game is identical, particularly for ARB.

Making huge “insurmountable” obstacles would be the way to go i8n my oppinion.

We NEED maps with more pillars, more tight spaces to maneuver, more ways to dodge missiles/make them crash into terrain. Having the PO-2 halloween racing map in top tier would be SUPER COOL. And for the hardcore psychopaths, in sim it would hilarious.

I would be so down if the war thunder group chat system was linked to discord.
Would have to be, indeed :/
Some of the originals will end up behind a paywall inevitably, but it’s better if less of them did so and in their place you could have just another very slightly different variant of the same vehicle in the tech tree which is the main reason why I’m not against copy-paste premiums, as their usefulness as a premium overshadows their usefulness as a tech tree pure-copy paste.
The terrain in ARB is a little more complex thing to tackle, as you may know, on earth we only have so many places with unique terrain like on the rocky pillars map, and chances are that it won’t be very high in altitude to impede FOX-3 and 1s. What I would support for top tier maps nowadays, since people will hunt you down with a top-down ARH anyway if you do dive into a valley, is to augment them with the upcoming electronic warfare features that will inevitably follow the ARHs we’re getting now, that will surely help I think, as well as improved weather and effects, which may especially interfere with older radars.
At least US and Israel does have a2g supersonic missiles
- Popeye/AGM-142
- Popeye Lite/AGM-142 Have lite
- ROCKS
- Air Lora
- Rampage
Damn, are we at 3500 already??
Anyway, great post, I really hope we get at least some of the ideas you mentioned. Especially new/improved gamemodes are desperately needed.

Wait- If you mean what I think you mean, that could actually be really cool!
Could be cool if they made a premium version of one tank from each side that was pretty much just a skin like we have with the Cobra King. Would be a good way for people to get premiums naturally, but it would take away from value of existing premiums (arguable not a bad thing when they sell for £80)

And I hope they get at least one of these, I’m putting my money on the Popeyes since the SPICEs use a similar seeker and will cover both Israel and the US at the same time (I’m not familiar with the rest of the listed munitions).
The rest are israeli made munitions (except the agm88J that slipped bc its a anti radiation missile, so I deleted it).
ROCKS (Crystal Maze 2) and Rampage could go to the Indian subtree (UK) tho. And Popeye also going to Australia’s F-111.
I like to think that it’s a logical inevitability, where else would they pour all their resources if not in the improvement of Game modes and whatever else if there is a ceiling for tech (already happening with Nuclear Thunder and the aforementioned ,Aerial Warfare" mode they’ve been cooking God knows air rb needs it). I also like to think that Infantry mode may also evolve into something even more interesting than a simple FPS with tanks, kamikaze drones and helicopters as it is right now.
I also do sincerely hope that we get the smaller details like headlights, horns and the turning of nosewheels on aircraft (like they have on the front set of landing gears on the B-52H) added along the way, it’s stuff like that would be disproportionately appreciated in relation to their overall value in practice I predict.

Kv8 an issue? A slow tank with an awful fun thats worse than the Churchill? The flamethrowerr is only really usable against the m10 spam which is far worse
And regarding other opinions, I’d also like to reinforce the efforts of those that want a bomber revamp, buff and rebalance in their further additions and I’d like to encourage the developers to follow through with the thoughts on the same shared by BVVD given in the interview last year, hopefully to be fulfilled this year, a large part of which electronic warfare will play part of for modern additions, and the proper implementation of radar guided defensive armaments for certain bombers in and not yet in the game as a small part in the larger effort to revamp the air modes.

I really hope you’re right, but I’m not so sure. Gaijin has shown unpresidented resilience when it comes to doing what the community asks of them. I can very easily see them just not doing anything about as there’s no true need, considering there’s no competitor and the current mode is technically playable, and thus “good enough”. Again, I’d love nothing more than to be proven wrong.
On your second point, yes, small details that make vehicles actually unique are awesome, and I really hope we get to see more of them in the future!

Honestly not sure if I’d call it ‘overpowered’, but it is another vehicle on the increasingly long list of overperforming Soviet event vehicles. Mobility is good for the insane amount of armor you get, if you use your armor correctly and know where to hit enemies, there are few things that can stop you.
The literal worst case scenario is that they vent the resources that they used to make brand new top tier air and ground vehicles into only naval which is still fantastic for the 3 people that play it, heck, maybe even 4 if they do go through and revamp it somehow. I’m basing this on the assumption that the tech trees will inevitably plateau on some top br that they determine and that business must flow and work must be done somehow, which is perpetually true for all businesses that drives this train of thought, if nothing else in terms of improvement of the main game, they could maybe reinforce the servers instead at the end of the day. I’m very confident that there is no other direction but up for QOL or literally anything that has been requested for a while, as to what and in what order is addressed we can get a rough idea of it from the current picture we can get of things going on in the background that have been explicitly revealed or are implied one way or another.
I don’t mean copy paste exactly, I mean like Slovak national uprising in 1944 - map, historical air battle, helping partisans, etc. And at the end after 60k score in this event, you could get Avia B-534, which is the last biplane, which shot down enemy plane (Hungarian Ju-52). It could be in parallel with other grinding events, but I thing this can be really funny addition, especially with ww2 theme, when there is lack of it in last updates.
