Just rage quitted a match… After dying to a vix 4 times, was in a HO 229 pulling 9 Gs with breaking my throttle mount with how hard I yanked it back I STILL GOT SLAPPED by that redtop. All a Vix pilot has to do is use that speed to keep high and circle, cant touch them with guns they stalk you and wait for the right moment to drop a missile on you. What is on paper doesn’t equal application.

Nearly ANY plane can pull to defeat a red top**… but if you’re stall climbing trying to get up to a SV you’re slow and won’t have the speed to avoid it.
What did you expect?
If you insist on playing a 7.7 in a 8.3 game then you need to make sure they don’t get on your six… if they do, and fire, just pull and they won’t hit you.
SVs are fast but if you get them to turn in a dogfight they’re screwed.
** a bomber can’t turn but if you switch off your engines the red top won’t lock and your gunners kill the SV as he frantically tries to work out why his missile is broken :p
Or I just fire a bullpup and guide it in manually :p

When I fight the UK at 8.3 I don’t let them kill me…
The Horten is a much better plane than the SV…
What kinda players does the Sea Virgin attract that are unable to use any of its very significant advantages lmao

I frequently see players in sim who are using it to attack only ground targets … :p
but in the right hands it’s a sim monster…

I can take my P-51C & Mustang Mk Ia (4.0) to 5.7 and have fun. I can take my Bf 109 F4 (4.0) to 5.3 and have fun. I can fly Tada’s Ki-61 (4.0) at 5.3 and have fun. I see people like Idaho taking F6F-5 (3.7) to 5.3 and 5.7 and doing well.
But god forbid you take a 7.7 plane to 8.3 and expect to have fun.

It’s actually funnier because you can’t really expect to have fun at 8.7 with your 8.7 plane due to the presence of the Sea Vixen.
There is an interesting dynamic between planes like MiG-15Bis, F-86, and G-91 that could be explored and be interesting in PvP…but you’ll never get to experience outside of custom games because premium-peter in his Sea Vixen will always be looking to skip a red top into you or flying back to his runway with smoke on if you get behind him.

Once again every sim thread turns to weird stalking and creepy digs… for flying a plane and, shockingly, rearming…

It’s perfectly fine for rb mains to post about sim, 99 percent of the time the planes are played the same way in rb or sim, just that one is in first person while the other is in third person. It’s the same flight models, usually sameish matchups and everything.
Anyways going back to the og topic the sea vixen is definitely op and needs to go match its rb counter part. Same with the sag 2 and Ariete
