USA F18c early "Will" need a buff or a Br change

With the new Swiss F18c Premiun at the same br of USA F18c EARLY, but with better Radar, better Engine, x2 contramessures (chaff/flares) better Perfomance in every way, USA F18C early will need some kind of buff in some way, i dont know maybe Aim9M or phyton 3, or something that justify the same Br of the Swiss same plane but better in every way.

maybe a Br decrease to 12.3 or something if a buff is not possible, or a pack (engine/radar) that put it in the same perfomance of the swiss one

Ok, but seriously, the US F/A-18C early currently has AIM-9L. There is a legitimate discussion to be had if it should get AIM-9M and then maybe move up a BR notch, but AIM-9X is just so far outside the realm of possibility.

That said, I think the F/A-18C early is pretty good already. Maybe it’s the Swiss one that maybe should be nerfed or moved up in BR

Alternatively, we can decompress the range and not give a 12.7 such atrocious additions

I don’t think this makes a difference at all. Both aircraft are limited by the AIM-7’s range, not the radar.

I’d have to test fly the Swiss one to see the difference myself, but first I’ll say that the US F/A-18C early already has very good acceleration and outstanding maneuverability. I will take a guess and say the difference between the two is not that big.

Even if the two are not exactly identical, we’re still dealing with a flawed BR system that unfortunately is very compressed. The reality is that some vehicles aren’t different enough to justify separating their BRs

u dont need to wait patch to test drive it, its the same radar/engine and perfomance of USA F18C late, better in every way if u already unblock it and test it. and yes diff its very big. its kinda a f16 perfomance.

much better climb rate/ energy perfomance.

Germany doesnt suffer for once and americans ask for aim9x on a 12.7 hornet, and they are getting aim120c 1 patch after r77-1.

Gluttons who would not be satisfied with the riches of the kingdom of heaven.

It’s the same weapons.
The engine difference is extremely marginal in air RB.
It’s already under-BR’d at 12.7 as is too.

The only tangible difference is flare count.

why would python 3 increase BR?

Brother, it’s only 20 m/s more, less than 10% increase

The main strength of all the Hornets is the insane AoA and nose authority, the little extra engine performance isn’t enough to justify a 0.3 gap between the two in the compressed matchmaker. And as I said earlier the radar upgrade makes no functional difference anyway.

The 12.3 BR F/A-18A is already OP enough, and now you suggest the F/A-18C early go join it?

You have to consider the whole picture, there are also people playing 11.3 trying to survive in their checks notes F-4E Phantom, their lives are difficult enough as it is.

This can’t be serious.

If you struggle to do well in them at the Br. They are at you have a very serious skill issue.

u forgot better energy managment (F18c early biggest weakness) and x2 contramessures.

Meanwhile, the F-20 is on that BR…

OK, riddle me this: if the Swiss F/A-18 premium is so good - why do you want the US F/A-18 premium to down in BR instead of the Swiss one going up?

I still don’t think you understand the BR system and how damaging it would be for a capable aircraft like F/A-18C early to go down.

well another viable option, and i understand the Br system.

I just wonder why ‘bad’ US main always makes things ‘worse’.

  • Buff american F-18C to 12.3
  • gives AIM-9X
  • for makes it better than swiss F-18C for germany.

Do you thinks ‘Balanced’ = ‘Americans maintains superiority from 1.0 till 14.0’?

what superiority? rafale is the best, israel has a better F-15E and other trees have f18c late too
