In response to someone complaining that the fire spreading to the engine from the ammo bustle was unrealistic.
Instead of actually answering his question you instead started talking about something completely and utterly unrelated and off-topic and started bringing up combat losses in Ukraine which has absolutely nothing to do with the question asked (also incorrect combat losses at that).
Compared to how much Leopards and challengers been lost it’s pretty good that only the ammo in the back always got hit and nobody died because of it.
This is why nobody ever takes US mains like you seriously.

It’s because the US top-tier lineup is right around or slightly better than the likes of Italy and France. But unlike Italy and France, the US has a massive playercount and doesn’t benefit from getting grouped with Germany, Sweden,or USSR. So it’s like an entire team of Italy and France

It’s the player not the vehicle. I dogfight my friend in a JA37C, it’s .3 lower than his MiG-23ML, and I beat him more often than he wins. Trying to teach him better, it’s not the Plane, it’s the Pilot, just as it’s not the Tank; it’s the tank crew.
Hell, I readied up in my 8.7 lineup and took it to 11.0, actually higher, I was fighting T-90A’s and T-80УК’s, and I was top 5 on the team for the first 50% of the match until I hopped in my Vigg to deal with the Mass amounts of CAS.

+Most of the time US being drafted with Italy and China while fighting against the TOP THREE, i agree there’s some braindead US mains that drag the winrates down, but that doesn’t change the fact that the tech tree needs alot of issues fix and the matchmaking is totally broken.

Well quite simply because the US is not hard done by in the game, not by a long stretch and it is merely players with issues of skill coping. Usually ones with absolutely zero perspective because they exclusively play the US and perform poorly because of their own abilities.

IMO the biggest issue is just that the M1A2 has a similar armor profile to the likes of the Ariete and Leclerc, in that the entire front plate can be LOL-penned while none of the above hold any particularly significant advantage over the Leopard especially

US could be helped a little bit with the addition of M829A3 since that would help equalize the armor profile of ERA coated USSR tanks. Though it wouldn’t effect the balance against the Leopards I don’t think.
Tbf Gaijin really does need to make it more than 50mm thick, that turret ring isnt properly modelled at all and it should be fixed so that it is because quite frankly it’s ridiculous it isn’t.

If memory serves, the entire turret ring and mounting system is completely wrong in-game. Its too thin and way too tall. It should be much harder to actually get a round into it than it is in-game
So then. We can say that this isn’t a problem?
Because so far the Leo 2A7 has been more than just “fine” performance, being one of two dominant tanks at top tier. So asking for its armor to be fixed is “wrong”?
I’m not saying that’s a ridiculous argument, but if you look at vehicles like the Chally, Ariete, and Leclerc, technically speaking their performance is “fine”. That however doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be given better things and or upgrades/buffs, because overall they simply aren’t anywhere near the capability of the 2A7 or T-90M or 122B+.
I’m not saying every US vehicle deserves a buff. But performance can be a poor metric at times.
I couldn’t tell you about height but I can tell you that it is absolutely way too thin. A BMP-2M should not be able to front pen it.
I’m not an American main, so idk. Look, when I take a 8.7 vehicle to 11.3, and mess up a Russian Team, getting top 5 for the first half of the battle, that really insights that it’s not the vehicle, it’s the player.

Height has been debunked, since the model we have in game doesn’t Sport DU armor, the armor isn’t quiet as big, I’ve posted a photo of the turret ring close up, it’s about 2-3 inches tall behind the drivers hatch and 1-2 on the furthest sides.
Here it is without the turret to show the ring’s actual height. That’s also a DU one, so…
It’s actual thickness maybe more, but it’s height is right.
theres very little they can do to fix it because unfortunately the players are just awful.
In the very rare few games when theres only a few other USA players or theyre on both teams USA is a blast.
The reason why the tanks feel weaker is because if i get disabled in a CV90 or leo the 2 teammates near me take out the threat and help me repair, if i get so much tracked in an Abrams the nearest teammate is staring at a wall and eating glue
