The biggest issue is that Gajin for some reason thinks metal blocks shockwaves. Metal is an amazing conductor for shockwaves. iirc, the T-72 turtle that was made near the beginning of the war which shall not be named was destroyed by a 155mm HE.
For WW1, WW2 and some Cold War this is easy to do. For top tier the rules are a bit outdated and focused on balance. Even if everything became declassified Gajin would be quick to balance things out like Abrams vs Abrams only or Stealth fighters fighting only stealth fighters. It was a cool idea at the start of the game but has since been very outdated
