US AGM missiles across aircraft and helicopters in War Thunder need serious improvement. The tracking is inconsistent, and the damage against MBTs is unacceptable.
1. Inconsistent Tracking
AGM guidance feels unreliable, making it difficult to consistently hit intended targets. Guidance and hit registration need to be investigated.
2. AGM Damage Is Far Too Low
A direct hit from an AGM should destroy an MBT in one shot. Instead, tanks can absorb multiple direct hits, sometimes requiring up to five missiles to destroy a single target. What is the point of using anti-tank guided missiles if tanks can repeatedly eat direct hits and keep fighting?
This problem affects MBTs across all nations, including Russian tanks. The issue is not limited to one nation; the damage model needs to be reviewed across the board.
Requested changes:
Fix inconsistent AGM tracking and guidance.
Review AGM damage against all MBTs across every nation.
Ensure direct hits deliver the destructive power expected from these anti-tank weapons.
US AGM missiles need a serious review. A direct hit should destroy the target, not leave it driving around after absorbing multiple missiles. The current damage model makes these weapons unnecessarily frustrating and needs to be addressed.
For changes to occur within the game you will have to prove that the in-game vehicles or munitions are behaving or performing inaccurately to their real life counterparts.
If you have acceptable and reliable sources to prove that something in the game in incorrectly modeled then you can report it here: Gaijin.net // Issues (just search a bit first so that you don’t report something that is already reported and known about)
I don’t need to cite anything to tell you the kh-25ML shouldnt be allowing tanks to survive direct hits, but the game lets stuff like this happen all the time.
but formatted the text and made it far too obvious but ok
All missiles have strange problems on impact, I’ve even survived the KH-38, so don’t worry too much , if want guarantee kill just send 2 mavericks per tank and tries to fire the AGMs from close range (10 km)
yes I’m aware of the range but it seems like with the mavs is just more inconsistent than let say the kh38, also the kh38 there is no concrete proof that it has ever been produced in quantity or deployed in real-world but the mavs are real and as you see they destroy shit and very well.
