A bug that caused the player’s ship model to start moving incorrectly when launching a hydroplane during circulation has been fixed. (Report).
Sound
Sound Modifications have been temporarily disabled. We continue to actively develop the game’s audio, adding new features and improving sound quality. Due to these changes, some sound modifications have become incompatible with the current client version, leading to an increase in errors and crashes. To ensure a predictable and stable experience for all players, we’ve temporarily disabled support for sound modifications in War Thunder.
We value the community and mod authors and intend to maintain the ability to create and use sound modifications as an important part of the game. We have a publicly available official sound project for modding, and we are already working on:
A mechanism for evaluating the compatibility and functionality of sound modifications
A separate guide for creating sound modifications for the current version and structure of the FMOD audio project: bank sets, routing, parameters/events, etc. This guide will help you improve the compatibility of your modifications with the game, making them more stable and less likely to impact game performance.
As soon as these tools are ready, support for sound modifications will be re-enabled. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.
Don’t get the point of completely disabling sound mods while waiting for the changes to be rolled out. If people are having issues or crashes when using sound mods they can just disable them.
Never have I heard that soundmods have caused crashing, nor experienced it. I think gaijin is just upset that others have made their game sound better than them.
I mean when some of the reports are using soundmods from opex with specific versions and claiming disabling sound mods stops the problem is odd considering I and someone I play with is using both soundmod + opex and we dont have these problems.
I get game engines might not always be compatible but its clear some user error is at play here in either outdated drivers or audio software if they use surround emulation programs.
So realistically disabling sound mods globally should not have been the play, leave it enabled but grab further information
I can understand why you would disable all sound mods, people flooding the forums because their specific mods are breaking, this still doesn’t seem right to all the people not affected by these issues like myself and others. This very much feels like chopping off your foot because you stubbed your toe.
I’m okay with this if there was a possibility that sound mods were providing anyone an advantage in ground battles. Sound is very important in that mode, especially engine sounds. Get rid of ULQ next.
