Update 2.47.0.91

Aircraft

  • The critical damage parameters for aircraft when they are directly hit by missiles of various calibers has been changed. Now missiles with a large amount of explosives will more often destroy aircraft when directly hit. At the same time, when hit by weaker missiles such as the FIM-92 Stinger, the chance of critical damage leading to wing destruction has been reduced.
  • A bug where selecting a weapon using the Visual weapon selector while it was pinned, and then pressing the seeker activation button would cause the weapon selector to switch to the weapon that you previously selected with the mouse cursor has been fixed. (Report).
  • You no longer need to re-pin the Visual weapon selector at the start of a battle. If you previously pinned the Visual weapon selector, it will still be pinned in subsequent battles.
  • The display of selected weapons in the Visual weapon selector has been improved. They are now highlighted with a frame.
  • Mirage 3 (all variants), Mirage 5 (all variants), Mirage 2000 (all variants), Mirage 4000 — for ease of maneuvering, the camera has been moved further back while in third-person view.
  • F.222.2 — the amount of ammo for the top turret has been increased from 720 rounds to 1000 rounds. The amount of ammo for the bottom turret has been decreased from 720 to 500. Source: Notice Technique de L'avion Farman Types 221 et 222
  • Su-17 (all variants), Su-22 (all variants) — the maximum permissible speed of landing gear extension has been increased to 550 km/h and flap extension to 600 km/h.
  • Harrier (all variants), AV-8 (all variants) — available angles of attack and overload have been increased. Maneuverability and takeoff and landing characteristics at low speeds have been improved. (Report).
  • Spitfire (all variants with Merlin engines) — the maximum flap speed increased to 160 mph (~260 km/h).
  • Lancaster B Mk I, Lancaster B Mk III — overheating and insufficient engine cooling after prolonged operation in takeoff mode has been fixed. (Report).
  • F-14A, F-111 (all variants) — engine throttle response and response time to changes in engine control axis have been clarified. (Report).
  • Rafale C F3 — maximum overload adjusted to 9 x 1.5 G with full fuel load. (Report).
  • Mosquito FB.Mk.26 (China) — a bug where engine fires could be extinguished using a fire extinguisher without researching the EFS modification has been fixed. (Report).
  • AIM-7F, AIM-7M — explosive type has been changed from PBXN-3 to PBXN-4. (Report).
  • Sea Harrier FA 2 — Ferranti Blue Vixen radar: removed restrictions on stabilization of the radar’s viewing area by roll angle.
  • JAS39 (all variants) — the PS-05 radar has had its radar viewing area stabilization limitations removed based on roll angle.

Ground Vehicles

  • Begleitpanzer 57 — the tracer in the Semi-armor-piercing shell has been removed (Report).
  • ZSU-23-4V, SANTAL, AMX-30 S DCA — the “Friend or Foe” filter has been removed from the radar screen, since this equipment does not have these recognition systems. (Report, Report).

Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.

Ooooh, Ill have to take my GR.3 for a spin! Thanks Devs!

Dev’s must have mind reading technology, I was literally thinking of looking into 2 pdr and 6 pdr dispersion. Thanks again

Love to see it

Still need to sooty exhausts cleared up in level flight (should be clean)
EEGS on the FRS.1 sea harrier (its on the HUD, not on the actual ARB green radar lock)

And the big fish : IR Signatures are way wrong for the harrier (in the opposing way of the F-5)

All in good time tho, good to see some manoeuvring bugs fixed

When will you guys fix the frame gen problem on GTX10 series? Currently my 1080TI supports FSR 3.1 and can activate Frame Gen but as soon as i activate it game crashes.

FSR frame gen should be compatible with 1000 series without any issue, im currently using on many games except Warthunder.

There was an issue with FSR while using DX12 for a couple of weeks recently that was fixed just a day ago, if you are still having issues you can try these steps to see if they help: ( So is DX12 crashing never gonna be fixed? - #84 by Necronomica )

If that doesn’t fix it then you can bug report it here (just search a bit first so that you don’t report something that is already reported and known about): (Gaijin.net // Issues)

A guide on how to report bugs can be found here: ([Navigation] Technical Knowledge Base | War Thunder Wiki)

On ground battles, intelligence award is bugged. Sometimes you get on screen “scouted target destroyed”, but intelligence not awarded.

You only get the “intelligence” award if the target has not already been shot at by friendlies.

FSR works perfectly fine, problem is as soon as i activate Frame Gen game crashes.

As i’ve said FSR Frame Gen should be compatible with 10 series without any issue but it seems current version causes crashes on 10 Series.

Thank you. I didn’t know that

Edit. I’m kinda disappointed. Never a buff on some rewards, only nerf?

Greediness around here is reaching unrealistic levels.

sadly this AoA buff is only accessable in Sim controls,

In the image according to Localhost the AoA is 36 degrees (can and does go above that, i saw 40+ earlier)

in Mouse aim it is still limited to ~18 degrees,

can we get some mouse aim adjustments to be able to use this buff normally?

You do get if it was shot at by you first and then destroyed by someone else though.

Try the fixes i linked above anyway, they are generalised fixes that work for most graphical issues for like ~15% of people who try the fixes. Otherwise it’s best to send a report like described above, without those reports the DEV’s might not know that there is an issue and if they know they might still need the files asked for in those reports to be able to properly investigate the issue.

True, will edit post, thx :)

It’s amazing that planes could survive direct hits in the first place. And it was simply replaced by a “should probably dead” mechanic.

It’s so strange how a single 20mm explosive rounds can rip a planes wing off but when a planes fuselage that has, let’s say 100 HP, takes -10.000 damage from 10kg explosives, the game is like: Well, can’t get more damaged than reaching 0.

Fun fact. It makes literally no difference because planes defensive guns have infinite ammo, even in Sim battles. Even when they use up all the ammo, it will just take another reload cycle and new ammo spawns in the guns.

The HVSS suspensions are all still broken to one degree or another. Most notably the -premium- Sherman (Hell) and US TT version. With nearly non-existant/way too stiff suspension, broken suspension animations(bogies/shock assemblies don’t tilt like they’re meant to and parts are not connected to eachother). Meaning the tanks behave like they’re toys and jolt/bounce from even small obstacles. The -premium- and non premium M-51s have the same issues apart from the animations anctually working. The japanese m4a3e8 and the US 105 M4 on the other hand actually have travel to their suspensions but share the same broken animations as the sherman (hell) etc.
We’re not far off from it being a year since these issues have been reported and would be nice to see them adressed. Especially as the -premium- Hell pack sherman wouldn’t be having these issues had the reported bugs been fixed before it was made.

Further the -premium- Firefly(overlord) still has a broken/static suspension wheel arm on the rear left bogie. Surely this is a small simple fix that ought to have been already addressed as it’s a vehicle people have paid for.

It happened in real life.

Many plane survived despite sustaining heavy damage, if you’re expecting to one shot everytime you’re wrong in this case.

Never underestimated the engineering of Aircrafts.

The engines should only be smokey at low speeds. [Definitely on water injection irrelevant of speed as well.]
And of course clean at higher speeds probably lower throttles.
That requires dynamic smoke of more than just WEP or no WEP though.

@狐斎宮
I just test-drove Sherman Firefly and M4A3E8… both tanks have fully functioning suspension; there’s a separate issue with rocks though.

Evidence of issue vs how it should act:

Spoiler

Vs how it should act:

Parts have never been connected to each other in War Thunder. That one’s likely a compromised simplification.
