This plane is broken the aim 120s do nothing, anyone else having this issue?, tws bugs out the radar gets stuck when swapping targeting mode, the fact the f-14a iriaf at 12.7 can consistently win up tiers at 14.0 use tws over 60km and hit all targets literally shooting down eurofighters is strange to me. i feel like the gripen can get more kills consistently -_- I’ve played 122 matches only hit 111 air targets what’s the point of such a big load out if the radar barely works and the missile seem to be out perform by everything including the 120a lol you’d think the 120b would be better? maybe its skill issue but I feel like somethings up with it

it has major radar issues. But it is far from the worst jet a top tier.
I’ve had 0 issues. Read this for an explanation on how to read the radar ranging. Might help you if you find that missiles never seem to connect

That is a major skill issue. F-14A is easy to beat in the Tornado F3. In the Typhoon (not that you can actually see them) its even easier.
It shouldnt. They have basically the same radar at the moment, but the Typhoon is faster, climbs better and has more AAMs. Let alone the fact the R-Darters are a pain to use but AMRAAM are much easier to use.
It has its issues. When you locate a target in TWS, switch to the narrow mode to maintain the track, or just hard lock the target. in ARB, the HMD mode is your friend.
They are 100% identical minus the different letter in the name. No differences otherwise.
Most likely this. If you have gone from playing aircraft like the Tornado F3, F3 Late and Sea Harrier FA2 lile I did, the biggest change was leaving deck. the moment I swapped from playing it like I did the F3, flying everywhere at 300ft and instead opted to climb, and average more like 20-30k ft, then I started doing a LOT better.
Radar does have its issue. Its certainly one of the weakest at top tier at the moment. Its got a long way to go before being good or even accurate to the CAPTOR-M (its basically Blue Vixen from the Sea Harrier FA2 and by extension the Gripen) and it does take more nursing than it should to get and keep a good radar lock, but overall the Typhoon is an excellent airframe.

idk 460 deaths to 675 kills in the grippen would say otherwise I had no issue with any aircraft while playing Britain. i have usa and uk completed but was hoping that they would fix the jet cause its shocking

One can argue that it is currently the best even with the radar issues. The Rafale has better missiles, radar and longer range IRST but I still feel like the FGR.4 is a little better for the meta.

If you are having no issues with the Gripen radar, then you should have no issues with the Typhoon radar.
The Gripen litereally has the Blue Vixen C&P from the Sea Harrier FA2 at the moment.
The CAPTOR-M is an upgraded Blue Vixen and in the absence of data for it, data for the Blue Vixen is being used. It has some differences, but is about as similar as you can get minus a few differences and some wierd behaviour at times.

For now everyone share the same trash irst last time i played the rafale and i don’t think the typhoon has a bad irst irl .
Currently in-game the gripen radar is more reliable than the typhoon
Unless they nerf it recently, the rafale has the better IRST by far

Typhoon’s radar feels like it has half the scan speed it currently does, for some reason.
Or like it has 50% chance to detect a target and usually needs to double or triple scan the same area.

Its exceptionally good IRL, but with the game limitations its rather nerfed. They also seem to be trying to deny primary sources that it can be used to guide AMRAAM on the ground it has no way to range, but there is also an accepted report for ranging data being available for PIRATE :D
I think its that the Blue Vixen scans a slightly larger area with each pass than the CAPTOR-M does. It also seems to not always register a target with the first scan. That combo means it feels worse.

Looking purely at radars. and this come from people who have flown both the Typhoon and aircraft like the Su-27 and J-11.
Typhoon has got one of the worst radars in game right now. If its not the worst, its certainly the second worst.
Given the meta is built around radar performance and ARH performance. The poor performance of the radar at the moment is a major handicap. I would place the Rafale and F-15E higher than the Typhoon at the moment purely because of the radar issues.
