Type-10 Hitomaru, technical specifications and known information

Does anyone else actually prefer the type 10 over the oplot?

I haven’t played the Oplot yet, but assuming it’s just a T-90M with a better reverse gear, I’d still prefer the Type 10.

It might just be a playstyle thing.

Idk name one redeeming quality of the type 10

Reverse gear, round, reload rate, mobility.

The mobility is hampered by the terrible transmission modeling / steering that it has, it’s barely faster than other MBT’s in it’s BR range despite the sacrifices in armor it has (and especially at low speeds / working ridgelines it becomes god awful, not even factoring in if you even touch the suspension)

The round is alright and so is the reload, but it’s not outweighing the major lacks in armor, mobility, gun handling and gun angles.

It’s effectively an Abrams that does everything worse except for 1s of reload.

iirc a ton of it is modeled incorrectly (much like other top tier MBTs)

Besides, all I care about is reloading faster than everyone else. I’m a rat like that.

Is this a chart with all the tanks mobility? And if so can you share it? Thanks. ^^

While that’s true for every aspect of top tier vehicles, gaijin’s incapability of modeling a CVT / smoothing the steering just hits it harder than most

Alongside the turret traverse, which is nerfed by Gaijin not using stabilizer speeds (which why that is the case is just beyond me)

If the Type 10’s actually got some love they could definitely be much better than they are, but until then they are just Abram’s sidegrades to me.

It’s mainly focused on the fastest tanks in higher tiers, not all in general, here you go.

I do believe the Challengers are a bit outdated, but they didn’t improve too much.

Thank you very much.

The fact that Gajin has modeled the Type-10 the way they have is beyond depressing.

Even then, I still refuse to hate it, since it’s just such a cool tank.

Same, it’s a love hate relationship for me, haha.

I hope they fix it eventually, but it’s unlikely, sadly.

It’ll likely just get overshadowed by other tanks in subtrees.

I do, 110%. Type 10 fits a more light tank/ratty playstyle that I prefer over the Oplot, which can’t really decide what playstyle it wants. The mobility is better (transmission sucks but it doesn’t ruin it for me) and the reload is beautiful.

^I also feel like I see the Type 10 way more than the Oplot-T / Oplot-M. So I feel like this isn’t a hot take either. Oplot is trying to be a better T-Series but failing miserably at everything but reverse.

unfortunately you can’t get any traction on Type90/10 issues as they just get shouted down by the “4 second reload OP” crowd, like that justifies them being poorly modeled and full of bugs.

The Type 10/TKX deserve so much better.

If they fixed that traction issue and gave it better acceleration i would be pretty happy with the Type 10.

Sadly not much we can do about gun handling or turret traverse since info is limited there might be something out there but i dont recall.

And armor is also mainly iffy too tho they can fix some armor holes.

Yes 100%
Oplot with its underperforming UFP removes one of the main reasons you play a T series tank
To me its just a worse tank in every way at that point
