maybe not the VT4A1 but the other 2 have great armor and the VT4A1 still have a better armor than the Leclerc , the tkx , the type 10 , the leo 2a5/ 2a6 / 2pso , all the Abrams , the arietes, and the challengers
Judging from my experience they arent that well armored and have classic soviet weakspots but bigger/more fragile. Tho 30+ kph reverse and other neat things might be good counterweight to that especially after having 4 kph reverse on soviets or type 96

I think what gaijin should do is not to lower certain vehicles to 11.7 but rather to raise the best ones like the leopard 2a7v for example to 12.3

I think they are doing it currently for decompression on different brs (t55s, 10.0, 10.3, 11.0, 11.3 shift to 10.3, 10.7, 11.3, 11.7 etc) so we just have to wait for changes on top tier

I hope so, because my original idea was for Gaijin to put some vehicles in 11.7 but I realize that would only make 10.7 worse, already the m1a2 Abrams is horrible to fight against with the leopard 2a4 or the t-80B

Sorry but I don’t think the Challenger 2E and Black Night belong in the same category as these other tanks.
If armor was the only thing that mattered at top tier the T-90M wouldn’t be more than an overhyped skillcheck.
Ironic coming from the person who hasn’t played either of the 90M and 80BVM.
The BVM is about equal to the SEPv1 and the T-90M really is just an overhyped skillcheck.

the ztz-99A have one of the BEST armor in top tier yes , and for the VT4A1 his armor is not the best but it still have a better armor than ( the Abrams , the leopard 2a5, 2a6 , 2pso , all the challengers, the tkx and the type 10 , all the arietes , all the Leclerc, and every merkavas )
Seriously? LFP nearly as big as ABRAMS and part of the turret can be penned by APFSDS? Without ERA u can’t even block DM53 with UFP.
Which except ariete all have better armour. Mind if u check, the UFP covers just 30% of the hull, the rest is very easily penned. Turret wise, 1 shot, ERA gone, second shot will pen.
This is pre fix, but hasn’t changed that much.

Like you said, “without ERA” — just like the T-90M — that’s how it’s supposed to work.
That’s simply not true. The upper front plate of the VT4A1 has around 600–660 mm of protection, while the Abrams only offers about 380 mm in the same area. Its turret has between 660–770 mm. The Leopard 2A5/2A6 may have a decent turret, but the upper front plate is really weak and can be penetrated by almost any tank at 2 km range. As for the Challengers, the Leclerc, and the TKX - everyone in the game knows their armor is pretty bad, especially on the TKX and Leclerc. For the ZTZ-99A it’s basically a Soviet tank with better reverse speed. Its armor isn’t as good as the T-90M or T-80BVM, but it gets the job done, especially with the LWS.
not really since soviet and Chinese tanks are smaller than NATO tank and don’t forget that the second weak spot of the Abrams is located on the turret ring ( like every MBT ) but on the Abrams it’s enormous and the fact that apfsds can bounce on the 82° sloped plate and still pen the turret ring makes it even worst.
Just look at the pictures. Literally the same if not worse than ABRAMS.

Red means critical equipment damage, horizontal drive or breech kind of things. Green means 1 shot. This is pre baskets but one shot area hasn’t changed.
Also just on UFP
Pretty easy to tell they are worse.

He is. He thinks Germany suffers hugely even though the entire hull is not killable for most tanks without DM53.
