Trolls in Game, in Forum

Okay…? But you said that “they get on here and want to talk about everything besides Warthunder.” So would your version of trolling be like you said, anyone that talks about anything but war thunder in the chat, or is it only specific things like out of pocket things that they are currently experiencing personally? I mean, personally I don’t think that people having fun in chat is a bad thing, as long as it’s civil and not hurting anyone. It’s generally really fun to see what goes on in the mind of some of these WT players. But just because of that doesn’t mean that I don’t think there are trolls in the game.

I agree that the out of pocket stuff can be kinda annoying sometimes, but I rarely see it and more often than not there is someone(s) in chat using for the game at hand, or not personally fun talk.

I mean I would post in chat if 90% of people are not soft karens that just reports you for anything… So yeah Im good off that

Saying “trolls are easy to predict” to a totally normal interaction with someone trying to help you and than getting mad at everyone else is pretty trollish.

Include the fact that trolls feel they acheive something by ramming and TKing teammates

So, essentially youre just dismissing this topic with your opening statement…Thats what I was saying.
People have gotten here and talked about, "Why not have fun on the way to battle? and such, but we are playing a military strategy game, if you will. And if there is “nothing to do” on the way to battle, hmmm…why not look at the field and decide how to attack the other team, instead of talking about your personal lives like you’re on Facebook or Instagram, this is why as most people who have been playing this game for awhile have to notice that it is becoming more common to be on a team that gets smashed in 2 minutes, after you’ve activated a silver lion bonus, say for instance. And there you are with maybe two other mates fighting against 10 enemy planes.
It is indeed a problem that will not disappear, frankly…particularly in the climate that has been created in the last two years.
More often than not, I have my battle chat disabled, or I go to options and, “disable”, “resume”…but this is becoming more obvious…flying into BR 13.3-14.0 battles with Level 20s talking about why their girlfriend left them.
I do not enjoy the battle chat anymore, like I once did, but then again I get on here to play Warthunder, not be on Instagram.
And so while I appreciate your advice, you’re opening sentence is invalidating this real and existent entity in game.
“How are you different then the people you speak about?”…you say?, Because I am on here discussing it, and not doing it. You went “off topic” speaking about a ban, but that is pretty common here as well.

Pretty obvious from his replies that he’s part of what he hates.

Again twisting my words, i never once mentioned a ban. I mentioned i could lock this topic if the conversation went down a specific path. Which gladly it didn’t.

Personally i never see any full on conversations about irl talk like you’ve mentioned, in-fact i barely see any talk at all. But you don’t have to involve youself in that, Everyone is free to chat in-game about whatever they want (aslong as it isn’t breaking the chat/game rules of course)

If people want to chat normally there’s nothing wrong with that.

Your previous reply to this indicates that you are talking about yourself.

How is this “topic” any different from people getting on here and complaining and discussing the crappy radar of the Su 27 for instance? Are they baiting people as well.

I usually dont have problems with people posting stuff in chat. Of course you get those that find it funny to spam radio commands or other things in chat.

They do it to get a response so I refuse to give them what they want.

Personally, I have more problems with those that want to play general. Not a fan of people who spend the match giving out orders and yelling at people for not following them.

Yes, some players do dumb things and that is annoying. But yelling at someone doing something that isnt bad is not okay.

Like my one match where some dude kept telling the team “dont go up that hill” and “you idiots dont know how to play” while that hill had the only cap point.

This depends on your game mode, server and day time. Try prop Air RB on US server when it’s evening in Europe and you might change your mind.

Regarding this thread:

  1. I saw that some posts are hidden - even if they would contain pure nonsense, if those guys don’t like an opinion they should ignore it.

  2. I mean if a forum mod is participating in a debate - every guy which an IQ higher than room temperature should come to the conclusion that the topics and posts might be in line with the rules, so flagging them to make them invisible is rather pointless.

  3. Trying to play “Forum Gestapo” for free is strange enough, a short look in history might give them the knowledge that the censoring guys were never the good guys. Self-censoring within groups or societies is the ultimate goal of any totalitarian regime…

…which is not limited to trolling in game or in the forum. From a holistic pov there is no difference between trolling like you described or just playing like the famous player Han D. Cap.

Imho you just described the results of the downfall of certain societies as a whole. Gaming culture just reflects trends.

  • These societies produced countless snowflakes, encouraged by educational indoctrination to express their opinion even if their contribution is absolute worthless.

  • They learned that replacing actual knowledge with believes is a viable strategy within their peers.

  • They are happy with participation rewards as they never face any challenges because they learned if they cry loud enough, somebody will lower the standards.

From my pov your observations describe reality, all you can do is to arrange yourself with it.

Gotta love how the OP is muted by ppl flagging it, basically proving his point.

yeah thats why its best to just not take this game , forum or the people who play it serious.

Do you know how to disable, the commands people use, like the audio stuff you hear, “Attack the D point”, or “Affirmative”?

Right click their name in the scoreboard, and ‘disable radio’.
