New IRCCM missiles are currently not planed for the Tornado IDS ASSTA 1.0, 1995 or Tornado GR.1. This module is just to add LJDAM capacity.
So I assume we could see it Together with MAW (ECM when we get it more) later on an PA-200(ITA) and ASSTA3.1 since these would be the (counterpart) for the GR.4
And gajin renamed Tornado IDS ASSTA 1 to ASSTA 2 or 3.1 ?
Tornado A-200C after Tornado A-200A (Tornado IDS 1995), my guess.
It might own aircraft and after Tornado IDS ASSTA 1
I might hope gajin add AIM-9L/I-1 for F-16A Block 15 ADF & Tornado ADV (ITA) for the winter major update this year and increase battle rating

But removed Skyflash SuperTEMP from Tornado ADV
No, ASSTA1 stays but with the Mod you have an ASSTA3
Just like the Jaguar GR1A which has an Jaguar GR.1B Mod which gives it GBU/Tiald Pod and an new Cockpit
@Smin1080p_WT can we exspect the additional visual changes which happend with ASSTA2 and also in ASSTA3 with the Mod?
Gajin changed default camouflage and implemented Litening III instead Litening II targeting pod before this update to current server ? 🤔
But renamed Tornado IDS ASSTA 1 to ASSTA 2 or ASSTA 3.1
In my opinion, would be Tornado IDS SLE (Service Life Enhancement Program) comparable to GR.4
Its not planned. The base Tornado will remain the ASSTA 1.0. The modification is just the required elements to mount and use LJDAM. Like the Jaguar GR.1B mod.
Well, but the Jaguar GR.1B gaves it also an new cockpit, so where is the new Tornado cockpit then?
This module just provides LJDAM capacity used in testing. Not the updated cockpit of production 3.0 / 3.1 program aircraft. The new cockpit for Jaguar is required for TIALD.
But the Jag also never received it’s digital RWR that came with the Gr1B. It’s a shame.
Straight up laziness huh…now you guys have the perfect excuse to never add the actual ASSTA3…
You now ASSTA 3.1 and Tornado SLE exist?
With the comment regarding “Gr1 only has the mk101 engines because the Mk103 engines were always planned for the Gr4”
Then it could be implied that the late IDS tornados for Germany and Italy aren’t planned because their 11.7 ones have the Mk103 engines
Well, when they were first added thr German and Italien Tornado has the mk.105 engine while the UK had the 103
Not at all. The main thing people requested to see on the Tornado IDS was JDAM. Which doesn’t require a whole new aircraft that would need to be researched to achieve, unlike the differences between Tornado GR.1 currently in game and Tornado GR.4 coming in Firebirds.
We already have modules of this kind in game:
This doesn’t limit or impact any future additions to the German tree and provides a much more readily available access option for LJDAMs to existing IDS ASSTA 1.0 pilots. This also means the ASSTA 1.0 can remain at its current BR.
Why do the developers insist on adding these modifications which are complete works of fiction? There is no such thing as adding the ‘required elements’ to use something, aircraft upgrades are not some pick and choose plug-and-play thing, they represent the aircraft at a specific point in time. It’s like if you gave the MiG-21 Bison the new radar and RWR but didn’t add any of the other modifications. If Gaijin wants to represent upgraded versions of the Tornado then they should do so properly or not at all.
There is more to ASSTA 3 than just LJDAM
In terms of what’s significant in game and the tests conducted with the aircraft in testing (Upgraded to test the weaponry) the module best suits the gameplay needs to provide LJDAM to the existing aircraft.
Once again, this module doesn’t limit anything else. It simply provides what’s needed to the existing Tornado without the need to implement a separate aircraft just for LJDAM. The same thing with Jaguar GR.1A and Su-24.
I showed in my latest report that this test in 2009 was only for the ejection and aerodynamic characteristics of the LJDAM, it wasn’t testing integration of the LJDAM proper. If LJDAM is added then so should the new RWR and cockpit.
is a new tornado assta for germany so out of the realm?
Last year you added folders so we can research these faster than ever.
Theres lots of new possibilities you could add to it so it can keep pace with other CAS while also providing the old historical accurate ASSTA version.
As I mentioned above, this module helps to provide the existing ASSTA 1.0 currently in game with LJDAMs, also allowing it to stay at its current BR and not be an entirely separate aircraft to research mostly just for that.
It isn’t however a barrier for anything else in the future beyond that.
