Edit: ASSTA3 development started 2008, lines up perfectly with LJDAM sales.
So its safe to assume, based off this, the ASSTA2 MIGHT be able to use it.
ASSTA1 definitely would not have been able to use them, as they literally didn’t own any, and they didn’t exist for Germany.

Loadout options are always balancing decisions. Which is why the Tornado Gr1 is missing its historically accurate Aim-9Ms (Deployed to Op Granby with them)
That being said. Im of the opinion that the 3x IDS at 11.7 should be given IRCCM missiles to justify the BR of 11.7, I dont think this would have an impact on the BR considering similar aircraft at the same BR with superior loadouts already. A200A and ASSTA1 I believe both did equip Aim-9Li and Id be fine with the Gr1 getting Aim-9Li instead of Aim-9M if that is a concern/issue.
it’s also got weaker engines and a worse Tpod, doesnt mitigate it entirely, but does mitigate it. Also, could have the much better IR seeker, but doesnt, the TV seeker on it is kinda fiddly and not usable at all on night maps.
Yes we do, but we also have signfiicantly worse tanks, IFVs, SPAA and even helis to a degree. Our top tier ground is entirely carried by our CAS.
It is. I was surprised by the lack of either. Was expecting GR4 to come with the ASSTA3 for Germany to bolster their top tier CAS and not the other way round. That being said, the only thing I can think of is that this will be Britians second IDS and we dont have one at 10.3/11.3 currently

in top br, yes.But 10.X challenge mk3/ds(5s l26) vickers(leo2a4 but l26) desert warrior is op sutff and lynx /rooivalk(now11.7)(heli) ,stormer HVM was 2nd best aa in wt (the great irst radar) (still good cause high speed and 8+8 ammo, and it can easly kill light vehicle) now we have stormer ad (track version lavad but with 3rd great radar in wt（IRST RADAR NOT INCLUDE）

it can only take 2 taurus so it 100% fine to give all tornado (IDS) (800+sp to spawn it)
and when guide bomb/missile span over 12km they not realy lot different (only ru got 10km + sam )
There are actually only two types of vehicles that are qualified to use laser guided bombs.
F15/F16 level and aircraft below 10.3 (no cancer aa like 81C/2S6/pantsir-s1
So we won’t be using the tornado, at all, because that’s a much higher BR. We will be using the jaguar

That comment is in relation for the F.3. Not checked if the IDS / GR series got a different nerf.
Ah… Fair enough, but I doubt it, wouldn’t be surprised if it was the same for all.

Since it will boost kinda the Tornado in Performance, maybe also think about adding the Aim-9L/I to it?
