It is underperforming in the sense that everything else is overperforming, Gaijin gives most other jets fictional flight models but not Russia. Like the F-16, or F-15.
But since this is a game, it should be buffed to be more balanced.
Clearly you don’t remember pre-nerf MiG-23ML/MLD or pre-nerf MiG-21bis or pre-nerf MiG-29.

At the time of their releases, those planes were top tier. The point is that Gaijin doesn’t have a preference.

Part of the business model. It has always worked like this. Gaijin monetizes frustration.
They switch “the balance” of power. After a few updates people give in and buy a premium on the other (now better) side. A few more updates and most people now have the favored side’s vehicles. Let them enjoy it for a few updates. And then they switch again.
There is no USA handholding. Same could be said when MLD ruled top tier, followed by R-27ER and good (better than F-16’s) MiG-29 flight model.
I haven’t played for that long but this cycle of power shifting seems to last around 1.5 to 2 years.

Unfortunately true.
I remember the F-4 and MiG-21s trading blows quite a bit with the F-13, F-4C, 21SMT, F-4E, then the MiG-21bis with its ungodly amount of thrust that they gave it for some reason which is still overperforming to this day lol.

MiG-25 is in most aspects similar to F-14 except for one small detail.
It has 15 tons of internal fuel. So it’s 25% is like an F-15’s 60%.
It’s chart data gives ~4G at 5000m iirc for 50%, where it matches an F-4. On. 7.5 tons. Fuel.

now 6 out of 9 nations have accses to aim 120s so top whining and play another nation or suffer as everyone else did for 3 years when russia dominated top tire air
