Define “raw performance” because if you are talking about climb rate like mentioned earlier, that really isn’t as big of a deal as you think.

By the metrics of climb rate and acceleration, the MiG-31 be a king in this category. But most games are not decided by high altitude, long range fights, most kills happen 20km or less.
climb rate matters alot in the current BVR meta, it allows you to have so much more speed when starting the engagements at high altitude and gives your missiles such a improvement in kinematics, main reason why planes like F-15E/I are so strong early game
I am glad you mentioned this because he says nothing matches the performance of Eurocanards like the Eurofighter and Rafale despite the F-15E already being ingame.

MiG 31 is fast and with R-37M be one of the best jets in BVR

Climb rate and acceleration it’s no secret the jet that gives more energy to it’s missiles does better in BVR.
We need to stop looking at top speed and look af which jets get to mach and accelerate the fastest from that point.
Yes Su-35 is fast but it’s heavier, draggier and carries more missiles.

As for J-10C we have the A in game and the C is heavier
J-11D is the Chinese super flanker i suppose the
J-11C could be used as a better analogue

I think it’s not out of the question that F-22 engines are heavily detuned to increase service life for a fleet that isn’t in production and hasn’t been for a long time. There has never been a real reason to push them

it would be pretty concering if Typhoon was heavier than larger Su-35S with more missile pylons.

I believe some people compared them (J-10A and C) and the engine wouldn’t be quite enough to make up for it. It still will be solid imo
New DSI intake and completely new aerodynamics, I have reason to believe that the J-10C will have a tangible improvement in flight performance considering how much the WS-10 improved the J-11B’s FM
