Lots of lesser individuals still trying to argue USA “needs to be better cause it is the way it is IRL!” forgetting this is a video game and that we have battle ratings for a reason.

SU-30SM (Not SM2) would be a good fit IMO. Yes it’s quite modern, it got a PESA radar that is a bit worse than the Su34’s own IIRC, with thrust vectoring.
For the missiles, we are already using birds that brings missiles much older than they are, so it’s not a problem if we keep it around the Aim120A power. I honestly think just giving a more decent flight model and fixed R-77 drag value would do a ton to help current russia. Alternatively, introduce the R-77-1 to give them more range thanks to the sustainer.
On the other hand, I admit I don’t trust Gaijin to model thrust vectoring aircraft decently. They’re already struggling with sweep wings models…
They could also just give us a better Su-27 than the 27SM I guess.
Currently, playing Russia is basically playing worse France. You are forced to play close range due to gimped missiles while using gimped flight models that falls out of the sky at the first turn. Mirage 2K5F has better short range missiles, way better flight performance, better radar, better RWR, MAWS, and since they fixed the SPIRALE pod, more countermeasures than soviets planes. Mirage only shortcoming is less missiles and less radar gimbal (standard NATO 120° vs 170° of 29SMT).
And the Mirage is also inaccurate btw. Magic 2 can still get another buff, and MICA should have better range, on top of deserving some fix in term of thrust vectoring issues (also applies to the R73)

I’m so glad someone pointed it out, France just does what Russia does at top tier air but way better. Russian fighters deserve a buff.

Yes, a triangle has a drastically better Oswald coefficient than Gaijin’s “Su-27”.
It also baffles me the Delta Wing somehow has better energy retention than the Su-27 and Mig-29

Back to subject… they need buffs. Revert MiG-29 FM nerfs (ie revert it back to release date FM) and buff Su27 drag so that it isn’t useless.

And add R-73s + remove R-27ER + remove R-60 as a modification + stop making it automatically switch between radar and IRST lock

the su 27 is a Very big fighter, mirage 2000 is a small one. now nerfed fm aside which is a problem it isnt THAT weird. su 27 burns alot of energy irl too
wat. that is objectively wrong. r77 isnt older than others, and the r77-1 you are proposing is a missile from 2015
sure russia wouldnt be that much worse than france if it was fixed, but it would be weird if it wasnt worse than france, france a2a weaponry and aircraft are just better
