Everything I’ve listed are valid points, bad weaponry, bad flight models, and just worse radars, the SMT has this exception, but falls victim to the latter points

All it takes is to play several nations to realize how Russian jets have basically nothing going for them

I think as long as this is a combined arms game, and you have the most adept anti air, they’re prob gonna limit your jets somewhat. There’s be no stopping you if your flight models or missiles we’re best, you had the best helis and SPAA.
The question is where would you be happy. At what level do you want the flight model to be good?
You want it f16 or f15 good? Okay sure, drop some missiles, and make pantsir not as good(compared to others). This won’t happen, so I think as a complete picture it’s fairly balanced.
It only doesn’t seem as such if you only play air, which I agree would be hard to stomach if it is that much worse. Admittedly I don’t have it yet, still grinding the ground tree atm.

I get that, and admittedly the Ground tree could use some tweaking, but it’s annoying when you shift your focus to one part of the game and can’t enjoy your main anymore. Cus in the air they are less competitive, to a rather extreme degree, and like, they’ve been better in the past. So it’s frustrating to see the fall from grace

We had a phase with the R-27ER where it was the best missile but then Gaijin drastically overcorrected by nerfing the Mig-29 flight models, and as result, the Su-27’s on release

It’s not a bad missile, but like, it’s more something you’d want on top of an already good jet, but in the case of Russian jets rn, it’s one of few things it has as a pro

Ah yes, balance and realism is when Russia gets everything is supposed to and no one else does. No drawbacks, only positives because balance would be getting to be the Leo’s of air. While having the ONLY viable SAM platform in the game, even if it’s still outclassed.
Realism AND balance would be having point defense patriots pinging your radar and launching missiles at jets while they’re trying to run CAP or CAS.
Nothing about this game is realistic and gaijin has openly stated things aren’t equal.
So what do you want?

Nobody said this but you, look up what a strawman argument is. Also, air balance has literally nothing to do with ground balance as they don’t even share BRs anymore. You can’t try to say “but muh pantsir” to somebody saying ussr top tier air sucks (which it does, big time)

Air balance has exactly things to do with ground, because it’s a combined arms game. Air tree exists in a vacuum, but those same planes come to the ground game without any difference other than a BR change. So air tree doesn’t actually exist in a vacuum.
Unless you want to restrict air tree stats to their respective game modes.
Top tier is top tier regardless of BR, your BR argument is meaningless.

I had to go read up on it real quick, but we’re basically adding modern jets at this point but only for one nation.
I could be wrong with this last part though, idk a whole lot about air trees. Maybe the other nations have newer jets too, but I know the U.S. doesn’t.
Unnerf the MiG-29s FMs, buff the Su27 FM to be more competitive regarding drag/MER. Loadout doesn’t have to be adjusted because americans already have superior missiles here…
