Are you dumb or just pretending?
The R-27ET isn’t bad or anything, the range is really good but the flare resistance just isn’t there. It has about half the flare resistance of the Magic 2 or R-73. R-73 and the Magic 2 have their seekers shrink to 0.75 while r27et shrinks to 1.3 or 1.4.
I have F16C F15C SU27SM JAS39 ,I have used them all before ,
Please put away your stupid and hubris
Refer to:
In real life, F-5 had about 12 dps STR, like MiG-21’s, it overperforms by 25% (lol). Put into perspective it is barely worse than a WT MiG-29
F8 Crusader, acknowledged for months yet unfixed, ruining 10.0, hilariously overperforms
Older data but proves the point. You can keep saying skill issue, skill issue, but if your plane has so much more specific excess power (compared to real life!) it’s like a MiG-9 against a MiG-15, you’re gaslighting people.
Oh, and R-60 was stealth nerfed to 22G, so most Soviet aircraft that relied on the missile (ie MiG-21SMT/bis) have had their last advantage removed.
That’s not even what hubris means…
Its 1.3deg but I believe it has better rangeband values than the R-73/Magics so its not actually half of the flare resistance.
Nobody is kinetically dodging these missiles. What matters is how much time that the opponent has to notch or dive to multipath height. For that you want speed, and it’s why the R-77 is the worst fox3.
Maneuverability matters at close range though. Overall range is still better than maneuverability.
Indeed
50g and a gigantic drag coefficient, which makes the missile practically unfeasible if you fire it more than 10km from the enemy, the aim120 has 35 G and works very well at long, medium and short distances, while the r77 only works well at short distances, but you still have to deal with the terrible Soviet radars.
As for IR missiles, only the r73 is really competitive, the r27ET1 has a gigantic fov and is extremely vulnerable to countermeasures
Earth is healing.
Very well said.
I agree with your point of view, I just want to express that Russian vehicle has always had some advantages, but some people believe that Russian vehicle should have all the advantages
this april fools they should add it in it’s own event like the past april fools ones but with the fantasy superdogfighter fm USCENTCOMM was sweating about before they got their hands on one
j8f is from 2009…it’s unstoppable clearly…
They did, but he’s not wrong about the fact that the SU-27’s and Mig-29’s have gimped flight performance.
Flankers are missing a large ammount of energy retention due to how the leading edge slats function in game, and while the Mig-29 is technically a accurate flight model, it is being held to a higher standard of “realism” that they have yet to apply to pretty much every jet.
and it still has arguably one of the best flight models in the game LOL
not all, just be equivalent… USA is always the strongest side of asymmetry
USA has been enjoying ez-mode since the introduction of the F-14. The only thing that even challenged their dominance was the introduction of the R-27ER which was unquestionably the best fox-1 missile. However even then the russian “advantage” in BVR was counterbalanced by:
- USA having superior radars for guiding Fox-1 missiles
- All russian aircraft prior to the flanker only being able to carry a meager two SARH missiles while USA planes could carry a much larger supply that permitted them to spend missiles on longer ranged attacks meant to pressure the opponent into a weaker position rather than kill them outright. The larger supply simply meant that you could afford to take risks with longer shots that weren’t guaranteed kills and you weren’t hurt so badly to see a single attack waste 50% of your Fox-1 supply because the opponent managed to defeat the missile or was shot down by a teammate first.
- SARHs were not the meta weapon because strong multipathing made it trivial to faceroll your way into the merge. This caused the meta to be close range fox-2 furballs. As for who had the better Fox2 between Russia and USA, the americans unquestionably had the far superior missile during the game’s R60M vs AIM-9L era while the topic becomes open to debate for the R-73 vs AIM-9M era but I maintain that the R-73 is better in a 1v1 duel and the 9M better at sucker punching people amidst a 16v16 furball.
Its dumb that the Mig-29 has to be pinpoint accurate while everything else at top tier for the most part gets these fictional flight models
