Sadly not possible
Not even in the same Nation the F15c is alot better in bvr than the f16C or Harrier av8b+
And then there are the F14 which are the only Planes that can get 100km kills on Paper
Unlike ir missiles which perform pretty similar no matter the Carrier aircraft radar missiles Depend highly on the launch aircraft Having a good Radar
BVR is a combination of factors, F15Es are dominant previously as a result to having the best missile and the fastest speed, both of which are less insane now as eurofighters come in. And as of RN, personally I think rafale is the best. Although it also depends significantly on play style, as I really do no BVR at all.
Rafale is one of the least competitive BVR aircraft in the game right now. MICA’s hard limited range, excessive drag and overall performance are nowhere as strong as the “roll face on keyboard to win” F-15E in BVR.
Now if they’re bad enough to get WVR; the MICA wrecks house, but that implies they don’t just sit at 8km and M2.2 throwing AIM-120 at people for the whole match. Which isn’t really that hard. They can fly toward any MICA carrier and have a decent probability of kill with no return fire for 35km distance, and only become vulnerable to counterfire at ranges less than 8km. That’s a ton of time to make a slow turn away from the Rafale and negate their strong WVR abilities.
I know but AMRAAM spam is really not hard to dodge, and the fact that I currently do not have any BVR capable jets also tells me to sit on the floor and flank. U can pretty much play any ARH or even R27ET by flanking but MICA to me works best in this scenario. Rafale is still probably the best WVR, and with BVR that is really the F15E and EF game.
Oh also i love how the mica’s he value is so low and because of this games terrible fucking damage modeling, all i get are fucking crits which turn into assists.
R77? Seriously? A missile that has a success rate of 20% within 10km? Nah, R-77-1 is a potentially valid argument, but even then the manoeuvrability only matters if it gets to like 3 km range in which case why not use R-73. AMRAAM is still the best missile, MICA and R771 are still marginally worse overall.
Thats just wrong rafale can climb up and get speed same as an eurofighter and f15(slightly worse but with a much better radar) and u can bvr at high alt with micas, aim120 is only good if u launch it by a fast platform micas on the rafale are absurd in terms of acceleration and the seeker its the best in game complaining about the rafale is absurd when its the best aircraft in the game atm (typhoon radar right now its just unpredictable to say the least and 100% worse than before the update alongside the nerfs to the g limits that make no sense).
he is right r77s only issue is range , if u didnt know r77-1 is the best missile in game (limited by the platform ) its faster than an r27ER at range and u can check that urself and at close range is the closest thing to a mica and its close
i like to bvr and i also think that the rafale is the best , at 1st u climb up where u get insane speeds (close to eurofighter and f15e) and i manage to get 40km kills with micas at high alt but u get a MUCH better radar and since the nerfs(that i dont think make any sense) of the eurofighter in terms of radar and agility at high speeds , so u can bvr quite well (top 5 aircraft 100%) and u can also do WVR (i think its the best at that)
It’s really multi pathing. The aim-120 should not really be affected by it neither should the aim-7M. Additionally the Aim-120 should be able to be guided in within 6-9km (at least the latter ones, not 100 percent on the A and B) which would make it very difficult to notch when you notice it is pit bulling.
But they would need to fix something’s like BOL Chaff and add BOL to a lot more things that get it.
That’s not true, the con-scan seeker on the AIM-7F will encounter multipath interference at higher altitudes than most missiles. It’s AIM-7M (M, for monopulse) that has increased resistance to multipath. That’s the reason why Skyflash and Aspide are upgrades IRL over AIM-7F in terms of look-down shoot-down capability, they have inverse monopulse seekers that have higher multipath resistance.
It is fast but as soon as it turns the energy drops ultra quick. IRL it should be much better than AMRAAM.
Still very easily slower, MICA has a good seeker but the range is truly not great. IDK how people do when they have ESA cause I don’t have any but it should help with BVR.
