You don’t , you flank with Type10/90 for that matter. You don’t really rely on armor on ANY TANK. the 2A7 and STRV are special case even in them you don’t want to get shot. But people always gotta rely on on MUH ARMOR to make up for their mistake

I don’t mind admitting a tank (Arietes for example) have no armor to speak of, but seriously, M1s have decent armor that you’re obviously underestimating.

It will never be as armored as other top tier tanks, mobility will always be ok, firepower is nothing special and in that case it will loose its DM53 due to not using it and survivability will always be point on meh.
Arietes are doomed from the start due to their faulty design, even Italian goverment knows this and thats why they tried to so hard to buy Leopard2A7/2A8.
If anything they have the 3rd best armor if you really think the Tseries have “good armor” beside that no other tank can match it in term of front protection. Not to mention their mobility is better than the heavy armored STRV/2A7. But no , one weakspot and now the tank is irrelevant what a surprise

Stop trying to put my words into my word while bein two faced devil advocate, i’ve said its easy to one shot abrams through hull armor due to its giant lower frontal plate and turret ring placement and this is know factor, lying will not help you in this case.
Oh do they? too bad their giant lower frontal plate and giant turret wing weakness makes it pretty much irrevelant, unlike T80BVM/90M or Leopard2A7V-Strv122 series.

2A7/STRV best , Abram and T series are close second , then to the chally and Merks and the rest really doesnt have armor. Correct me if you disagree with my 10 second list but provide reason if you can

I hear that even if the Ariete gets its proper WAR kit, it still won’t have enough turret protection against modern rounds like DM53/M829A2.

War Kit will still not protect against half of the top tier shells which in this case it will make pretty much irrevelant.
Now im not against fixing Ariete’s, in fact Gaijin should fix every problem on Ariete’s so Italian mains can finally see how trash Ariete’s design is.
Tell me what do you know about Type-90’s/10’s? You’re just looking at protection analysis and saying ‘‘yeah these tanks are not worth it’’, by talking without experience will only get you so far.
Either use and gain experience with them or dont make empty talks about vehicles you dont play.

But italy player made up for it with pure skill , rarely see any minor nation complain about their vehicle of chocie. Only US with the largest complainer on here with post after post about M1 being le bad. Still waiting for minor nation to get better SPAA btw

It will not, at best it will protect against 3BM60 at most.
- Strv 122B+ (Has side protection which can be useful against autocannons and CE)
- Strv 122B PLSS/122A (Has a higher frontal protection for some reason)
- Leopard 2a7v
- T-90M/T-80BVM (Small profile + armoured front)
- M1A2 (Ricocheting UFP, and good turret armour)

Understandable but i would put 2A7 and STRV in the same rank cause they are kinda the same but fair
The Strv 122’s have a higher hull protection. It doesn’t matter too much but its still higher. The Leopard 2PSO should be higher than the T-90M/T-80BVM but for some reason Gaijin made its UFP non-ricocheting even though it has the same UFP has the 2a7v, Strv 122.
