Well today i want to talk about Tiger UHT placed in top of German helicopter tree.
That good helicopter for its maneuverability and speed but i really didn’t understand how to compare it with other 12,3 helicopters with his abilities.
1.Difference one : “no turret”
Tiger UHT doesn’t have any turret to defend itself.
In comparison 12.3 (have turrets) :
AH-129D
Tiger HAD block 2
Israel AH-60
(At least any 12.0 have turret)
There are was project of turret by Mauser RMK-30 (denied by ecocnomical reason, but we have fully working yak-141 and so on, still ok,for "balance reason) :
in my opinion, there is no reason why they should not add the LK-NG because theyve already added the IRIS-T and SLM as well as the Python 5 and AIM-9X. these are 5th geenration missiles which cannot be decoyed in the current game environment and most of real life scenarios as well.
Seeing as the users of such gen 5 missiles in game are ground vehicles, it is only slightly different for a helicopter to have such missiles since they will be restricted in the sense of starting energy as well as launch profile since they cannot be given LOAL in any sense of the word.
not to mention that the UHT is completely defenseless against helicopters of all types.
Mi-28 and Z-10 are immune to the pars and the stinger and the UHT doesnt have a gun.
while they have the TY-90 or igla or the vikhr or their turret guns.
it is at least fair to give the UHT some form of defense. and the only realistic one is the LFK-NG which would be immune to the DLIRCM of the Z-10/Mi-28 thus giving the UHT a fighting chance
another issue people often gloss over.
The obscenely low amount of counter measures DESPITE the fact that there exists an option for taking 144 countermeasures on the Tiger heli series.
if we could have that, keeping CM slaved to MAW would actually be viable again

Idk why maybe its the angle and the distance but its very rare to 1 shot (if u even hit)
UHT is still missing an extra kilometer on PARS and its proxy fuze, which would at least give it the ability to defend itself against head on aircraft, not only that but the UHT starter AGM are HOT-3. Yes, that’s right, a 9.0 weapon in 12.3. HOT’s should be removed from it and the stock AGM should be PARS right away, or give it Hellfires, since there is nothing stopping the UHT from firing them either.
If none of the above is fixed, then LFK-NG would be the only way to give the UHT a fighting chance.
sadly, the only beneficial solution for germany is to keep the HOTs on it but make the PARS available as stock.
we can add a lower BR UHT at 10.0 with only rockets, stingers and HOTs.
we could even get 20mm pylon mounted cannons but gaijin has literally forgotten abt the UHT
