The M18 has so much mobility that it not being able to front pen some fully downtiered tanks is not a problem, unless you explicitly don’t make use of the main advantage that the M18 provides.
If the M18 had insane mobility and could front pen even 7.0 tanks it would be horribly unbalanced even if it’s a pretty vulnerable tank.

The low BR arty tanks should’ve never been added. All they do is mess with the game balance. The VIDAR, Type 99 (if they were a higher BR) or the Object 292 should still be in the game but the M109 and other 6.3 arty shouldn’t.
Move the Puma and M24 down then. They can’t front pen anything and do their job alot worse than the Hellcat yet were uptiered for their mobility.
I don’t think that they shouldn’t be added, just that they should be a reasonable BR, Sure thermals, LRF and stabilizers make it harder to do it… but I can still derp a T-90A with my type 75 SPH… that’s what a 4 BR difference? so I’m sure they will survive a one or 2 BR increase… problem is the idiots… I had a guy in game complaining that his AuF1 couldn’t kill any thing with its 61mm pen HE shell… yeah… I’m sure some people see where this is going… I thought " that doesn’t sound right" at the time and checked after the game… yeah… he was shooting proxy fuse shells at tanks… his shots where detonating 3m before contact and he was crying that they didn’t kill anything…
I don’t really see the point. The Puma was 2.7 when I started. PAK Puma once used to be lower, though I’ve only played it at 4.7 (and above, in higher BR lineups). Pretty much every vehicle in Rank II and III has been a different BR than it currently is, at some point or other, in the history of the game. That doesn’t really say anything about the Hellcat in particular.
So I am an active “US only” type of player, but with a functioning brain (sometimes), so Ima be real, going from 5.7 to 6.0 isn’t really that big of a nerf to the Hellkitties. There’s not really a whole lot more at 7.0 that you’d face compared to 6.7. The only really bad thing about this change is ruining the 5.7 lineup, but 5.7 US was already really damn good even without the Hellcats.

They won’t front pen 4.7 in any way that is reliable. T14, Churchill Mk7 or KV-1 can’t be destroyed from the front.
False. The T14 and KV-1 can be destroyed from the front in both the Puma and M24 at 0m. The churchill can be destroyed by the Puma (Both APHE and APCR), but not the M24.
How does that work out?
The churchill has a small weakspot in the MG port that the 50mm can slip through, but the 75mm is too big for. Chaffee basically gets screwed by volumetric.
The M18 can kill a Tiger 2 through the MG port too. Does is happen on a regular basis? No. You can’t aim for pixel weakspots if you don’t have at least armor to shrug off a bad shot by your enemy.

Have not ever LFP’ed or MG ported a KV-1??? How about shot the turret cheeks. Some of them you can kill through a very lucky breach shot
As for T14 turret face is soooo easy to hit. Same with MG port.

All you asked was for a video of a puma or M24 killing KV-1 or T14 from the front. I can’t give you a video RN but I can give multiple weak points…

You can pull it of once for every 50 tries maybe. If the KV-1 or T-14 has a brain they will center mass you while you’re still aiming.
