I know it may be silly, but has anyone else noticed that the Sherman with a 75mm gun used to penetrate 104mm and now it penetrates 103mm? I also noticed that the 76mm gun has gone from penetrating 149mm to 147mm, I know it’s a minimal change, but they haven’t given any warning or anything and sometimes that extra millimeter determines whether you penetrate or not

No it’s always been labelled as 104. The British solid shot M61 has always been 103

Exactly, the British have always penetrated 103, but I am referring to the American Sherman which has explosive charge in its ammunition.

I used the jumbo and got a nuclear, but now it’s harder to penetrate the Tiger II from the side with the 75mm gun
See how it used to penetrate 104mm? It was still doing that until 10 days ago, but now it’s 103mm.
It’s because they increased the amount of filler in the rounds.
Went from 65 grams in both to 68 and 77 for M61 and M62 respectively.
This small increase in filler gives a small decrease in penetration. It’s also getting reverted with the next major update.

well britain only gets one normal sherman when we used several so I only use it the few times I’m at 3.7 or 4.3 for the NA75. pretty solid gun and meh 1mm difference between British 75 and yank they handle the same
Is this change going to be reversed then? I’m one of those people who prefers greater penetration over more explosive, and I feel like the ammunition already had enough explosive filler

But you see what I’m saying? I know the penetration of practically all memory tanks xD, maybe it’s only 1mm but it would be nice if they had put something like (changes in the specifications of the ammunition in all the m4 family), they simply made the change without waiting for anyone to notice.
I know!!! But I said they changed the penetration of both guns!!! I sent another photo showing the previous penetration of the 75mm Sherman, it would be like this, 75mm gun from 104mm to 103mm, and 76mm cannon from 149mm to 147mm
have you looked to see if there was a bug report on the shells ballistics?
I did it, they didn’t notify, they just made the change. I’m looking at other tanks to see if they’ve changed more penetrations, but I don’t see anything else apart from the change to the Shermans. Something I noticed is that before the 76mm cannon was able to penetrate the Tiger II H frontally if you hit the optics, but those 2mm less means that it can no longer, it is a complicated shot, but it was but it was very good for those who had good aim and knew that weak point
So that’s why I was nuking so many tanks with my M4A3 yesterday.
I literally said it is going to be reversed in my first comment.
The dev server already has both fillers back to 65 grams.
