Dont have ULQ remove bushes, just make them ungodly blocks, with no physics, so that ULQ abusers cant gain the massive advantage of having no folliage
Have the game detect hardware and only enable ULQ for people who actually need it. If you’ve got a certain min spec, you are locked out of ULQ (I.e can run the game at a smooth 60+ FPS on low)
In a true e‑sports environment, fairness should mean everyone competes on equal footing. If every player were locked to the same settings, using the same keyboard, mouse, and headset, then the outcome would be determined purely by skill, reflexes, and strategy and I’d absolutely agree that this reflects genuine professionalism.
But when players start tinkering with resolutions, graphics settings, or other tweaks specifically to gain an edge, that’s no longer about skill.
It’s manipulating the system to tilt the balance in their favor.
Adjusting ULQ or similar settings to strip away intended visual design isn’t clever, it’s exploiting a loophole. Competitive integrity demands that victory comes from talent, not from bending technical parameters to manufacture an advantage.
Call it optimization if you want, but at its core, it undermines the spirit of fair play
Yup, people who are well off don’t need ULQ, it should be an option for people who actually need it and have no other means to play. Integrated graphics should be the only case where ULQ should be available.
Actually… I personally think its not too bad. Compared to many games out there, its fairly decently optimised. Just wish they invested a bit more on their servers
You haven’t read what I said, haven’t you ?
Just because you have a dedicated GPU it doesn’t mean you can run the game better than someone with integrated one.
Yes, Motorola, I understand some integrated GPUs are powerful enough to run this godforsaken game at normal settings. Benchmarks can determine if your iGPU is powerful enough or not.
People who are running on older generation iGPUs should have ULQ available to them, people who have current gen iGPUs should not.
Old iGPU = ULQ
New iGPU/eGPU = No ULQ
I hope I made it easier for you to understand, I know you are not very bright sometimes.
ULQ works with integrated, like I said to hit 60fps at 720p I would have to use ULQ, if I moved to “low” I used to be able to run it until the end of 2024, then it dropped my FPS to 25 on average which wasnt great, but ULQ kept me at roughly 60, and it doesnt provide any advantage whatsoever anyway so why remove it
