Are we really discussing who would benefit more from a nuclear war ?
You guys are over the ledge.
We are not We are pretty set on the fact that no one would gain something but max has a different opinion apparently
Let’s pretend that nukes haven’t been dropped or the violence is not the same
Wow, MI28NM problem has become world problem with nukes and Ukraine war included.
This isnt of the situation where perfomance Is close enough to warrant ambiguity, lemur is the best heli mounted atgm, and kh38mt is the best fixed winged case weapon bar none.
Something to point out, irl SAL guidance by virtue of how it works allows missile to calculate optimal trajectories, in-game the loft profiles for pretty much every hellfire variant uses nonsensical static loft and terminal profiles regardless of range and target movement I understand now lmurs are the hot topic but vikhrs vs hellfire is still very mug an alive issue and hellfires offer virtually nothing over the vikhrs.
PARS was this bad, in fact worse. They would pop up, spam all ATGMs, rearm, and repeat. The kill feed would light up with PARS kills.
The same can be said about Kh-38ML/MT, the idea that these are anti-tank weapons in game is stupid, these are meant for infrastructure and building demolition.
AASM Hammers
I know Hammers are a thing (just a bomb with a rocket strapped in the back) but Kh-38/Hammers are meant for larger targets and not vehicles 🤷
Their use in game is completely overkill, there are guided ATG missiles that are better suited for the role of anti-tank, and that’s why they exist. I feel like Gaijin shouldn’t have allowed large HE guided weapons imo, but that boat sailed long ago.
Apparently, so many follow-up posts have not addressed the substantive issues. Soviet-era vehicles continue to dominate the entire battlefield with the Mi-28, and other nations have no effective countermeasures. I’ve had enough of this absurd vehicle, and the gaming experience has been extremely poor. I will no longer spend any more money on this game. The game boasts diverse gameplay and factions, yet it feels like Russia’s own backyard. What’s the purpose? To foster national pride? What a joke.
kh38mt if it existed would likely have a seeker like the one from the aasm250(or scalp/storm shadow), these are not weapons meant to target tanks, the fact they work like they do is purely an ingame convention.
There’s also that, but we’re getting a bit off-topic and we have already been down this rabbit hole…
The IRL evidence paint a different picture.
IRL you don’t need outright blow up a tank/ifv in order to score “kill”. Disabeling the track/engine/transmision is enough for the crew to abando it. More over Lancet is used to hit soft target (artilery, radars, MLRS’s etc etc), that are away from the frontline.
Yeah FPV drones haven’t made tanks (western or not) obsolete, but untill effective counter-measure is developed, bouth sides use them rearly on the frontline and mostly as a mobile 125 mm artilery (only the soviet era, becous the wester tanks FCS don’t have the ability for indirect fire).
They bouth massproduse them with 3d printers, even on the frontline, since early 2023.
Fiber optic cable doesn’t care about EW and its widely used since late 2023.
more like 2-5k at most… as I’ve seid, they mass-produse them with 3d printers and the components, for Russia, are imported cheap from China… for the UA it might be more expencive.
IRL is not WT or BF6… it doesn’t work that way
Sure, but they did use it on civilians… twice…
I’m expectin the Mod’s nuking the thread any day now…
What does that have to do with the original comment?
It easily was not. It had much shorter range, the KP was and still is much worse than LMUR’s, and the platform itself is vastly inferior. Objectively the UHT was never as unmanageable as th NM currntly is.
I really don’t get these comparisons between the UHT and the new Helis. PARS never outranged most SACLOS missiles like the new AGMs do, the UHT never had this much immunity against IR missiles and it doesn’t even have a chin gun.
The simple fact that the new helis are oppressively strong despite the insane powercreep SPAAs got in the past months should end any discussion like this.
Yep, pretty much. UHT was a hit-or-miss against the old pre-nerf Tunguska, a 10km ranged SPAA with SACLOS missiles, the new helis are oppressive against F&F SPAA’s from 2020s on the other hand…
I have the UHT, i tried playing it against new SPAA’s, I couldn’t do much, meanwhile the NM with LMUR was sniping SLMs…
