I can only agree, but mmW is a big part of it, loosing some F&F capabilities wouldn’t be so bad as a big player base is not happy with 100% F&F weapons.
I don’t think so? JAGMs should be able to be launched with just radar seeing the target, passing the target data to the missile. in-game, if only the radar sees it, it will try to lock IR by raycasting a beam from TADS to the target cords, hitting/stopping at what’s in the way.
It would retain the fire and forget capabilities with the mmW, difference is that in game they massively buffed the ir performance of the ir seeker to bridge the F&F gap, that not having mmW leaves
I said it wrong but yeah mmW is F&F, which the devs don’t want. I don’t like 100% F&F weapons, having SAL + IR will increase the time the heli is exposed and slowers the spam. Something similar could be done for others.
From the tests in the last patch. It is too early to test in this patch yet, as long as there is a bug where the spaa missiles continue to go through the datalink and don’t switch to TRK.
Although I have an example where the CM-502KG kill mi28 because it hit a ldircm blind spot.
And another one
So 2 videos of a Mi getting shot down by a chinese AGM is proof that only the MI gets hit by missiles?
Its literally same as 28s,cant lock it with any IR missile with IRCM even at point blank, and its immune to IRIS-T and ARH spaa unless its moving, only thing that can kill it is SACLOS AA,and if he just pops from cover, fire 16 jagmr nd hide, there is nothing u can do. Had one do this from 13 km at Normandy, couldnt get him with Pantsir as he fired 4-5 JAGMR then hid. When i fired before my missile got therr he hid again.
Still very easy to kill SPAA in jets.
Nah, mi28mn with lmur is completly fine, like su30sm with kh38mts. <3
What should happen on the video to prove this?
Well, if you bring me a person with a 64e or z10 (because my friend with these helicopters is currently unavailable) and set specific test conditions (so that you don’t say later that this test doesn’t prove anything), then I’ll do any tests you want.
Well if you want to proof that
then you should at the very least have a video where the 64e and the Z10 do not get hit in similar conditions. And even better test it with multiple missiles to make sure that it isnt just the Cm502 being odd. Right now youve only proven that the MI can get hit by missiles which is not new knowledge
However I’ll have to agree with @БрИт4нСкUй_П0дС0С, Z-10ME is far better than any other helicopter if you remove the CM-502KG from the equation, is more agile, better mobility and considering that TY-90 is the only helicopter-carried missile dedicated for such task, is the best most performing air-to-air missile, personally I belive that Mi-28NM and AH-64E are in par performance-wise considering AGM-179 and No.305, if Z-10ME had a dedicated anti-tank/anti-armor missile, it could be the best helicopter in my opinion.
I’m just curious, why can the target pod only pick up in lock the mi28nn from about 2 km away? Is that how IRCM works here?
No, that’s how Gaijin works
Laser DIRCM works by firing a laser into the seeker head of IR missiles. The sensors detect incoming fire, home in on it, and fire their counter measure(laser).
A lot of the Russian helis have reduced IR signatures or DIRCM that prevents IR lock.
But you guys arguing about which OP heli is the most OP kind of misses the point of the post.
All 3 helis, AH-64E, Mi28 NM, and the Z10 are poorly balanced.
I have to say the DIRCM was made in a rush to quicky add something to Russia to counter the IRIS-T. I can’t think of a single reason why it’s still like this or why are they adding it to more vehicles.
Because helicopters are unplayable without it. It’s impossible to play against IR/ARH SPAA, ground spikes, top planes and 8+km lmur/jagm at the same time without ldircm. All top helicopters without ldircm are practically dead now.
then you’re not agreeing
No? They are very playable, the current state of DIRCM just embraces flying high in the air and spamming missiles. It should work against a spikes, LMUR, and more but AIM-9X, IRIS-T SL and other rmissiles should ignore it
They are certainly not, especially against IR SPAA like IRIS.
They can detect you through trees long before you even have a chance to see them.
You pop up for a second on their excel sheet and you are toast.
Indeed. I shot down Mi-28, they can’t be immuni to IRIS. I shot 2-3 missiles with a few secs delay.
Problem is just that I get matched with RU too often. Other SPAAs are not as good vs. MI-28, it seems. Had to watch one LMUR massacre after another. Already have enough of top tier GRB and back at WW2 tanks. Top tier GRB situation currently bit onesided.
