The MI28NM problem

It is but the warhead itself is HE which is why the damage Is so trash. Regular hellfires damage these days is fine the guidance however is kinda trash

LMUR it’s self is also HE but hilariously better damage wise for some reason

But that’s the issue the IBFS is a HEAT / SAP-F dual mode warhead. And it should have a proximity fuse (both Airburst and VT functionality) but Gaijin are stubborn and report mangers will straight up ignore new evidence and constructive reasoning so that’s been put on ice for now.

The IBFS is treated as being identical in performance to the Tandem HEAT warhead (damage profile) when it’s known to be superior(US patent #6393991 B1). Due to the use of a Tulip type Liner, in place of a Trumpet type for the main charge.

It uses the HE damage calculator, not the HEAT one so it’s not constrained by the hard cap on overpressure performance.

Damage mechanics

"For HE, overpressure damage is calculated when a shell fragment from an explosion hits something inside of the vehicle, proving that explosion got inside of it. This leads to high-yield explosives nearly always taking out a vehicle in a single hit, due to the shockwave being able to move around frontal armour and to hit the entirety of the crew that way.

HEAT and HESH shells and ATGM can also create overpressure damage but are less effective at it compared to HE ammunition and seem to only affect vehicles when very thin parts of the hull or their critical weak spots are hit directly, with overall armour thickness of hit surface having to be below 15 mm RHA, since their explosive power is directed towards creating special effects (molten jet for HEAT and scabbing for HESH) instead of producing shockwaves. There are exceptions in HEAT ammunition, which can deal overpressure damage through 20 mm (select few powerful HEAT ATGM) or 30 mm RHA (most tandem missiles). Tanks with reasonable amount of armour will not take overpressure damage from HEAT, even if special effect penetrates them easily."

The T Series just so happen to have ~45mm RHAe of Turret roof armor, so ignore overpressure entirely. It’s the one upside of the SAP-HE Mavericks.

This effect is overstated, it shouldn’t be a Hard cap, but a Negative multiplier on effective Explosive Mass of ~ 80%

Funny how you didn’t mention BA 11

Keep my Z-10ME out of this Xd

cm502 totally op

Almost because JAGMs are miles worse then LMURS? LMURs are practically a guaranteed one shot kill from the second you launch it while JAGMs can be countered, evaded, and even tanked
The issue with russian CAS is that its so impossible to ever evade the missiles that if a russian aircraft even locks you and fires youre basically screwed even if you get a good minute of early warning

At this point, I’m genuinely convinced you’re just rage baiting. Because you’re ignoring that NATO FAF massively underperform in WT. Telling people an automatic missile needs to be “aimed” better is just too blatant.

Because NATO stuff is based on actually existing things IRL, which is then implemented in a way GJN feels like ignoring “clear marketing lies”. While KH38MT don’t even appear to exist. And LMURs are high explosive fragmentation heads for soft static targets who haven’t shown any ability to actually track targets and change their flight in the reconrds. So basically fantasy too, at least the WT ones.

Not even, not only does gaijin give russia non existent equipment with artificial features, but they also nerf NATO equipment artificially to the ground
Ex. Ignoring warheads on JAGM/hellfires, ignoring loft height and max range, top down attack, extremely nerfing maverick damage and tracking, etc etc

that arrived 2 months after OP made this thread

and took longer to get DIRCM

  1. u might mispelled Ka-52, cuz Mi-28NM would rarely survive to an incoming missile due to it’s common fuselage, and the only thing that makes it quite good is the DIRCM which may be the reason of why it has “good” survivability, since an indirect hit will obviously do less damage than a direct hit to that heavy helicopter (and btw, it’s the heaviest helicopter in WT’s history, it’s the top 1 in WT records).

btw BUK-M3 is insanely good, but IRIS-T is way better since it has good maneuverability, no RWR warning (cuz IR missile, not ARH missile) and it’s weirdly hard to fool with countermesures. and btw, GB has good SPAAs like the Sky Sabre which has proven to be a very good SPAA.

thx, i didn’t see the topic’s creation date

u can progress, slowly, but u can.
btw who doesn’t have fun at lower battleratings? i play my Tiger II at 6.7 cuz i love sniping enemies with a tank that has amazing aspect, amazing history and it’s very balanced for 6.7 (and i would even dare to buy the Sla.16 even if i can’t actually grind tanks fast with it since my lowest BR tank i can research is rank V/VI, but i would buy it to enjoy it, not to grind with it).

I quite like my hellfires, they’re not that bad.

And I’m not even totally sure how to use them, I don’t have leagues of games using it.

I forgot it existed. Thank you for reminding me.

And it’s on the heli with the best Ldircm in the game…

I hit a couple abrams / Leo’s on the roof with LMURs and it didn’t kill them.

lol.

One off instances that are likely bugs ≠ consistent and intentional game design

Brimstone entered the chat. Also takes too many to kill any tank
