Oh no a vehicle has an advantage over another in the same class, whatever would we do! Buddy that’s basically standard in a game with realistic implementations. The fact that Gaijin doesn’t want to properly model helicopter radar returns is no reason to make everything else complete fantasy. In fact since the Iris t SLM now boasts a whopping 4km IR lockrange having proper radar returns on helis would benefit everyone.
Asking about favoritism as first reaction to someone wanting realistic LDIRCM makes it seem very much like you’re against it. Maybe rethink your wording and if you can’t then good luck on your journey in the forum.
All IR AGMs share the same lock range code and logic, saying one missile has more lock range than others is plainly wrong lol. Well, except for the Penguin :)

The same devs that allowed DLIRCM in its current state? They sure do know a lot about balance then lol. Gaijin devs might be the ultimate authority, but guess what? It doesn’t make them right.
The community has given them more reasonable and balanced ideas that whatever they can come up with.
That’s part of it, but I’ve played plenty of CAP recently.
Multipath doesn’t affect targets over 60m, that’s pretty low.
Fox 3s will fail even if you shoot from lower than the heli and even locking onto them with jets that don’t have AESA is a pain.
Fox 1’s seem to have a chance but they aren’t anywhere near reliable.
I think while a heli is hovering it is effectively notching the missiles. That shouldn’t be the case if the blades were modeled as their rotation induces the motion that radar picks up.
It’s also why the RAH-66 has special blades that are mostly radar transparent.
that why i use guided stuff to counter a heli, i can say its better to use good old stuff like the pantsir but that doesnt go along with all others trees.
also a god way to couter it is atgm launch or he fuse on the new mbts and light tank like hstvl
Yeah it’s neither, it’s a logical consequence of adding different equipment in a realistic fashion. Favoritism would be, let’s say, giving a helicopter with LDIRCM, more destructive missiles with double the range and a chin gun the same BR as a helicopter with none of that.
Well if the current state of the game is supposed to be balanced then I truly don’t know what balance is

And you say this while not owning a single IR SAM and having Pantsir, which is the best SACLOS AA, you can’t be serious. You can’t have a truthful and fair assessment on DLRICM when you don’t know the struggles of other nation’s vehicles.
And this isn’t even complaining, most of us are giving legitimate and constructive feedback on how LDIRCM can be improved and iterated upon.
