they are not op as the only good thing in the ah64e is the dircm, remove that and people will complain about the missile
uhm ok…so 16 fire and forget missiles with 16 km range are not op…well maybe not maybe they are just p because the mi28nm is op, its still broken af
geez idk i saw people crying to the floor saying that the missile is bad.
compared to the lmurs it is. but you have double the amount. 2 are usually a kill on a mbt. mi28nm is just way better for me because of its laserbeam gun
or you know you use terrain features like every heli without ldircm
Crazy idea I know
Most maps are flat.
How horrible, truly
I assume that physical reality does not apply to helicopters without ldircm ?
They did not become useless the moment new SPAAs were added you know
Wrong language, would be nice to read this.
Those are reasonable stats though ?
I mean I’m sorry but with each message being sent to this topic I more and more get the impression that some people want to see these things be terror machine / destroyers of worlds which seems catastrophic for gameplay but also quite far-fetched considering what can be seen around the world today
Worse stat than MBT while having 550-700sp cost is reasonable?
yup
But tbh the issue is Gaijin trying to give an advantage for using a lot of SP, which to be fair is quite a bad mechanic as it introduces unbalanced gameplay for no good reason
Were it for me you could spawn CAS at the start of a match, but SPAAs could have more space to maneuver with realistic fox-3s (basically say bye bye to multipath, with notching being more difficult).
I still can’t understand how the community as a whole is okay with the “I spend more SP so i should be able to wipe the floor with AGMs”. That’s quite crazy to me
This SP cost metric is quite poor anyway, let’s not pretend a tornado has the same value in Ground RB compared to a Rafale or Su-30
i am not a heli player so all my experience came from killing them
They did on a lot of maps.
Depends really, the JAGM at the moment is suffering from a lack of loft which decreases it’s overall performance. It’s coming in way too shallow.
The seeker also doesn’t lock on until maybe 8k?
Is it overpowered as it is? On paper yes it has the possibility, in matches it is reasonably balanced versus opponent’s AA and CAS counters and due to requiring multiple JAGMs to defeat.
I’ve shot I think 8x missiles into a challenger and it was able to drive off and kill my teammates.
yes and CAS is far less potent with high buildings / narrow streets city maps (Sun city or Sweden).
This is not new and doesn’t justify LDIRCM overperforming at all
True, the loft isnt as extreme as with the LMURs. Which amount of lofting would be more accurate is kind of a question, for the LMURs kill potential it wouldnt matter much (considering damage whent hit they will still oneshot anything due to he warhead no matter the angle of impact) but yeah the lofting over buildings is a thing. For players on the ground it would definitely be more fair if they all had the JAGM lofting so you can at least utilize some cover.
But the seeker not locking on (depending on weather and visibility) until 8 km is the same on the LMURs but well if the target is semi stationary the agm gets into lock on range pretty quickly. Speed on both of them is basically the same. Ive never had something happen on a clear target (no smoke, no other tanks or tank wrecks close to the target which make the seeker lose clear lock) like you did with that challenger. usually 2 are a kill in like 80% of cases or at least a severe damage (no mobility and no ability to fire) maybe except for BUKs, those things eat agms for breakfast
JAGM is better vs multiple light targets, saturating the battlefield and overwhelming aa.
LMUR is better vs single targets and are harder to intercept due to higher lofting. They both got pros and cons imo.
And just spamming them from the far helipad (to have enough time to dip) with a 10 second reload is no less of a threat to the enemy team than doing that with the lmurs.
And that doesn’t work on a lot of maps, especially city maps where buildings can get in the way of LOS for the missiles whether on purpose or accidentally.
HAGM locks further than LMURS do. I feel like I’m pulling teeth to lock a LMUR at 5 miles.
Also, if they do fix lofting, that means all sp costs have to go up to match the mi-28nm. But likely higher as 16 jagms vs 8 LMUR. Which means your likely looking at an 1100 sp cost average for jagm helis
Also, I’d love to see Vikhir sp costs go down slightly since they are no longer top dog.
How is it favoritism to make ldircm more realistic? Right now the coverage is wrong on all helis, and not only that they can dazzle more missile than it’s physically possible for the emitters and even worse they affect IIR Seekers something which is complete bs, all of this whilst having magical stealth which allows them to have insane resistance to arh.
