same with JAGM with MMW
I’m a bit confused. What factors did you consider when determining that JAGMS are 25% less deadly?
The videos I’ve seen of both since I don’t have any unlocked yet.
Can you link me the videos you’ve watched? My experience using both of them tell me otherwise. HEAT warheads in general are not consistent.
The JAGM’s flight path is what really kills it. It doesn’t usually go top-down and hits vehicles at a very shallow angle which can result in
- hitting heavily armored
- getting volumetric
- or if it does pen, it’s post pen damage is directed in to not hit many vital components.
Don’t get me wrong, there are times where I can get one hit kills but compared to the LMURS, it is no where near as effective.
this might be placebo, but the JAGMS suck at locking targets that are partially covered where as with LMURS, I don’t seem to have this issue nearly as much.
In my opinion, 2 JAGMS = 1 LMUR. However if the flight profile of the JAGMS, my opinion might change to where 1 JAGM = 1 LMUR.
More like 1 JAGM = 25% kill chance, same for PARS. It’s literally a 1/4 gamble for each missile fired. The kill potential of HEAT warheads would be something like 80% if Gaijin would model top-attack for everyone else that’s missing it.
I’ve forced PARS to come down at a steep angle, and the results are shocking, it’s basically a 1 hit K/O.
The overpressure + HEAT effect from roof shots is enough to take out most tanks. But Gaijin clearly doesn’t think that having top attack weapons in the game is broken, given that LMURs were introduced with their correct lofting on day one.
I just want this BS double standard sh*t to end, it’s either no lofting or lofting for everyone. I mean, just look at Spikes, the most underperforming missile when it comes to loft angles.
How old is that one Hellfire bug report? 3 years? Something like that.
Hellfires haven’t been fixed for the past 3 years, good luck trying to fix the JAGM to a respectable level in a reawonable time.
Also about the spikes, it’s kinda a balancing factor, F&F quick fire ATGM with 90% killrate would be a bit crazy
We all know NATO nations can only get the chopped versions.
Except that doesn’t really matter now, Gaijin gave LMUR the most possible deadly trajectory possible, the old reasoning of “balance” is out the discussion.
OTOMAGIC supremacy.
DIRCM should be removed fromn the game. It’s an unfun mechanic that’s impossible to balance. Gaijin need to stop putting $60 top tier copy paste premiums and fix their goddamn game. Unfortunately that’s never going to happen, we saw how tone deaf the bvvd Q&A was, they do not care for balance or player feedback, they prefer bathing in their money.
Edit: oh and just one more observation, the curren op vehicle is once again a russian vehicle … but surely that’s just a coincidence, not at all similar to the kh38, pantsir, magical caroussel without ammo in russian MBTs… that’s just a coincidence …
why dont you creat a game more balanced then ? also dont make money of it, go spend +1000k hours building 3d model and give it free
Right, so because it is possible to create a competitor game gaijin shouldnt bother balancing their game ? That’s a really sound argument you make there.
My bad for wishing for a balanced, enjoyable game, Clearly creating my own company and game is the logical answer to this situation, moron.

Unfortunately old school spaa can’t quite counter it since all helis with FnF missiles can hide behind terrain (on maps with mountains / hills) and only peek out to fire one missile at the spaas and hide again.
You say I have “no intention to change things” but I cant change things, thats the issue, it feels like they dont listen to our feedback so how can you not expect the players to get frustrated. While I get that I sound aggressive, that’s on purpose to reflect the frustration shared by me and the people I play with. The players have tried having a normal discussion for quite some times but things never seem to change.
They never should have added DIRCM to helis (at least not in the current implementation) this much is evident.
But do you actually like the current state of top tier “ground” RB ? Because you make it sound like everything is fine and there are no issues…

MI28 with ldircm without lmurs was fine.
Countering helis with 15 and 16 km range fire and forget missiles with 10 km range spaas. Ok. sure…maybe theres a slight misunderstanding about the definition of countering here?
This is definitely a compounding part of the issue.
Helis hard to kill with AA
Jets counter helis
Team with best heli also has 2 of the best AAs to counter Jets and other helis
You were there when we tested it, and you know it’s super rng with the Mi-28nm, where as the AH-64E and The new China heli were far far harder to hit, with the Chinese one I think never even getti bf struck
Regardless of the helicopter, DLIRCM is a bullshit system designed to be as frustrating and inconsistent as possible, and there is not denying that.
But when you have people telling you to spawn worse AAs to deal with a single threat, while making yourself vulnerable to the other threats these systems cannot cope with, makes me furious. “Just spawn a SACLOS AA bro, and make yourself vulnerable to planes”.
If it was actually implemented properly, funnily enough, the Mi-28 would be the weakest DLIRCM helicopter as the laser would not be able to look through the fuselage and out the nose of the heli, making it prone to getting 1 hit by IRIS-T.
The Z-10E and Apache have two lasers, meaning they could tank up to 2 missiles each, and would take 3 missiles to kill them.
But that is if Gaijin actually implements it as an actual physical beam in the game, they managed to get beam riding missiles working but can’t do the opposite for DLIRCM? My guess is that they’ll make it so that you can overwhelm these systems, since that’s the easiest approach without having to model the laser beam itself. But they certainly can model it, they have the experience and talent to do so.
