I like 7.7 Britain. I enjoy using the Conqueror and the 20 pdr lineup. You know what I can’t do? Play actual 7.7 games. I used to like 4.0 Britain. One of my favorite low tier tanks is the Churchill III. For the same EXACT reason that 7.7 is fucking terrible right now, 4.0 britain is atrocious. There are MORE THAN ENOUGH people to do consistent ontier games, but Gaijin, in their infinite wisdom, have decided that quantity of games is better than quality of games. Sure it could take an additional few seconds to find some more 7.x players, but why do that when I can get a full uptier against the soviets or america for the nth time. There is NO BR range in the game that is immune from this catastrophe of a design philosophy, but it’s particularly bad in any range that can see 8.7 because AMERICA has an unholy trinity of overpowered bullshit that makes the BR range practically unplayable for non-american players. Because you know what needs to be at the same BR? 2 Autocannon vehicles on fast chassis and the dumbest vehicle since the SAV. This is an embarrassing way to do matchmaking and is quite frankly an objectively bad choice. It’s also a bad way to make premium sales because anyone remotely intelligent would realize that paying for a vehicle would not fix this problem. This isn’t even mentioning fucking helicopters and CAS in general nor a whole host of other issues the primary one being how actually garbage the map design is. I also can’t wait for stona or whoever to delete this thread because it’s “not in the right topic” or “already exists somewhere else”.
7.7 are still pretty compressed due to the technology gap so the situation is bad for everyone its a lot worse for other, brits actually had it better at least because their vehicles are fully stabilized, only issue is the probability of shell shattering. It’s just compression, for someone who played a lot of 9.0-10.3, I could say uptier in those br ain’t as bad as 7.7 when you are using a bottom br vehicle, even 11.7 uptier to 12.7 feels like nothing if the player is somewhat decent. 8.0 is also as bad as 7.7, and I bet vickers mk1 definitely had a much better life than leo 1 and t-54s lol
I utterly refuse to queue anything above 7.7 for the simple reason that having more than 4 8.7 american players in a game is just miserable. I emphasize American because the t58 and the two XMs it shares a BR with utterly warp that area of the matchmaker around themselves, not unlike america is CURRENTLY doing with tier 3 in air RB thanks to the bomber changes

I personally thinks you should move up, 7.7 is horrible to play, I don’t even know how people enjoyed being powercreep, I’ve put the Maus on the shelf even when it has 4.7kd and I also consider it quite uptier proof because of how slow it is it feels like it’s fully stabilized, it’s due to matchmaking which renders its armor useless and also CAS problem (goddamn CAS especially that premium murica A2D or whatever the fk name it called). The reason I suggest you to move up is because brits has some imba vehicles themselve which I think they are under-br’d, like the olifant mk1 at 8.3, for what reason it sit at the same br as german patton while being fully stabilized? also another olifant problem with gen2 thermal and dm63 sitting at 9.3 while being the only mbt with gen 2 thermals, it feels like vision cheat, and don’t forget the cheiftain mk10 only can be killed by CAS if he decided to camp hull down as not even 3bm42 can reliably pen that turret. You will have a better time bro those vehicles are much stronger than its counterparts, and do you have the fv4030? that thing is also busted
