I have spent exactly 450 hours on the Russian and Soviet tech tree. I dedicated 15 hours a day to this game for a month and a half. And what did I get out of it? I fired 12 R-77-1 missiles at a single player from as close as 20 kilometers, and not one of them connected. Not a single hit, not even any damage. Meanwhile, that same player fires one AIM-120C at me, and no matter how hard I maneuver, I cannot escape it.
Is this game really this unbalanced? Is it really this broken? Did I waste all this time just to hand points to the enemy team? It’s truly disgraceful. I believe there are people working in your management who favor the American side — looking at this situation, I deeply regret the day I started playing this game. Had I known it would come to this, I would never have started, and I would never have invited my friends to join, bringing you new players. I never imagined I could be treated this poorly by a game. My morale is shattered, and I am deeply saddened by all the time I have wasted. Shame on you. I have no other words left to say.
I have nothing more to say. I have already written my feelings, and these are the facts. I played this game for 450 hours and this is the result. I am deeply saddened.
I’m sorry, but your feelings aren’t facts. The R-77-1 is one of the best ARH missiles currently in game. Similar maneuverability as the base R-77 + the range comparable to AIM-120.

20km is right on the edge of 77-1s effective range if I recall (and that’s with a decent amount of altitude and speed) and at this point most players know how to avoid ARH missiles if given plenty of warning.
MICA, 77s and 77-1s all trade range for extreme close range maneuverability (although 77-1s get a lot of that range back compared to 77s), AIM-120s are the opposite, AAM-4s and formally PL-12s where a sort of middle ground.
You need to use missiles in the situations that they are best at.
I know it all, man, I know it all. Even in the Discord communities around me, we’re constantly arguing about how bad the R77-1 missile is, and you’re the one who uses the AIM-120 missiles that I’m complaining about, and you’re trying to stop me from getting a debuff update for those missiles by messaging me here.

I can’t speak for the Su-30SM2, I’ve only spaded the SM, I couldn’t get the range out of the 77-1s I get out of the AIM-120As on the F-15J(m), I found the 77-1s where good out to 16 to 20km alt and speed dependent while I can hit with the AIM-120s out to 30km fairly easily, but I am aware that is largely due to the difference in alt and speed I can obtain in the J(m) compared to the SM.
You obviously can’t fairly compare missiles with different launch parameters.
Getting 40-50 km range kills is non uncommon with the R-77-1, similar effectiveness as the aim-120 when launching them at high altitude and high speed.
At close ranges and high off bore the R-77-1 clowns on the AIM-120. So it is clearly a better missile overall, the seeker is similar between them.
