this plane has been an absolute nightmare to use and i have no idea how its able to be put at 13.0 when its stuck with missiles from 10.3. constant uptiers to 13.7 means you’re basically dead the moment you spawn because some loser with fox 3s can kill you from across the map and you’re powerless to do anything. there is absolutely zero reason this plane should have aim9ls at 13.0

It gets skyflashes and AIM-9Ms stock, you can put 2 extra 9Ls if you want but you should use the 9Ms until you run out. This is so random bro, if there’s no reason for the Gripen to be 13.0 than the Belgian F-16 should be 12.0. Also AIM-9Ls are 12.0+ missiles on fighters.

Perhaps the JAS39A would have been better suited with 4-6 Aim-9L, No BOL and no HMD at a lower BR and to have come earlier than it did. But now that ship has sailed.
What the Gripen really needs though is BOL to be buffed up a bit. With that, it would be fine. Even in full uptiers.
But if you are just mad about the stock grind, Just be lucky you get Any Aim-9Ms stock.

Lets be real, no one is using RB71, at least not me lol, ive had them for way too long and ill take my 6 9M over that any day of the week. Idk skyflash vs aim 7F/M in a joust is just giving them a free kill since they can launch from further away and get me faster. 9M at 13.0 is insane again, all gaijin needed to do was not add the A and C model at the same time but using basic critical thinking skills isnt one of their strong points.

Yeah but in the stock grind your options are 2 sky dashes and 2 9Ms so it’s better to have 4 missiles than 2, once you unlock the 9Ms though there’s really no point
Only time i’d actually be on board with this is if they removed the BOL, ahistorical skyflash and the fake AIM-9Ms.

12.7 is a fine place for it, as long as those 9Ms and BOL get removed, yes. F-16ADF should probably be 12.7 too.
I agree, it should probably go up.
ADF has aim 7M so it wont go to 12.7, also gaijin won’t change the gripen because they screwed up by adding the A at the same time as the C. The likelihood gaijin will place it and make it an early A model is about the same as gaijin fixing the game to be balanced.
Go up where? 13.3? Then its the same BR as the F16AM which is fair, if you think higher that would be pretty silly but 13.3 id agree with.
I doesn’t really have much room to move up because of the horrible compression but it should def be higher BR that F-16 with no HMD and only AIM-9Ls.
Again i think the reason its 13.0 is because gaijin realized they fucked up with adding the A and C at the same time so what we have is a Psuedo 90’s A model without most of its actual equipment. To remove things and put it down would upset players. Move it up and sweden continues the trend of having horrible BR gaps for air. All gaijin had to do was not add the A at the same time as the C.

I know. But at the same time I am unsure what are actual differences between A and C. From what I see they can carry the same weapons, same engine, same radar.
The Gripen A is 500kg less in weight. It was nicknamed the sports gripen because of that. Irl it used AIM 120 and 9L’s. Sweden bought 96 aim 9L-I/1 though we dont know what they were used for. The gripen C irl has more ground strike options with new missiles and a 5th pylon for CAS, its been acknowledged since it was added. Its missing its MAW pods, and its voice warning system. Rn the C basically weighs more and has 20 cm more while having ARH. Thats the difference.
