The Gripen E is being artificially held back: We need IRIS-T, Meteor (or Derby!), and ARMs

I think more balance is needed. If we used missiles that had less open source data you could actually balance the game better. Kind of like reload times for tanks.

What should be added then to have other countries compete with MICA?

I would argue it should only have been added after more advanced balanced options had been added.

True, but true BVR should be in game i think, along with more advanced radar features.

I would love electronic warfare options.

Then France would have been without any Fox-3s. But now that it’s here, what are the other “more advanced balanced options” that should come for others?

the only issue is the POBIT and Gripen E would dominate thx to on board radar jamming.

Good luck getting gaijin to do that.

I listed them above. Because the data has grey areas it could be adjusted for balancing.

Gaijin wouldn’t give the Gripen any sort of Jamming lmao, they love to for some reason add and change starts to suit their idea over historical accuracy like the Gripen we have in game which never had ECM. Yet it has the weight from the model that has Arexis and such.

Yeah. They could adjust those abilities because all the capabilities aren’t open source. That could balance it a bit.

Same issue with the POBIT, it has the weight of the viper jamming suite and the new APG 83 radar but lacks all the benefits, Imagine hard locking all 6 missiles at ounce, or even getting data link for your missile’s from a teammates radar while you notch. We can only hope one day these aircraft will be fully implemented.

No literally the jet in game is a 2016 model from SAAB it’s not owned under FMV and doesn’t represent swedish Gripen Es, it shouldn’t have the later stats because it’s simply not that model or aircraft. It also has the different wing design which is smaller than the actual production model.

This is like saying the F16A should have the weight of the F16 PoBit but without any of the FM benefits

AFAIK the Girpen E in game is the same as the one with the jamming no?

No? It should be before ECM was fully integrated last I checked, I could be wrong but to my knowledge it still had to use a pod that boosts ECM to get anything as it didn’t have it yet.

This is basically the 2nd iteration of the Gripen E prototype model as it has the IRST but lacks the improved wing design. Essentially early MS21 block 1

@Timpun might know, I don’t keep up to date with the silly swedish aircraft as much, but I know more about it then the average player

Sorry i very well could be wrong, idk much abt the Gripen E in game compared to the IRL version.

as for the F16 this is what i was referring to
AN/ALQ-257 IVEWS

This basically shows a small timeline but the vehicle in game is a early model, basically a 2016 prototype that’s forced to have the weight of the newer model but without any benefits.

We have a old pre updated Gripen essentially but gaijin loves to implement nerfs without actually reading into a lot of these reports since the weight for the report specifically is for the new Gripen with the bigger wing and new electronics

We have one of the older jets at top tier when we technically talk modern stuff post 2010

Interesting

“Reasonable” xD. IRIS-T isn’t an ARH missile.

Yeah you’re high xD

“MICA should’ve been added… after we added things much better than it” 🫠

IRIS-T is one, but which is the other one? Derby-ER?

I stand by what I said. It’s currently an unbalanced mess. A Rafale has to be brain dead to lose to an F-15. I don’t think any one nation should have a clear advantage. Do you think air is balanced? Do you think ground is balanced?
Don’t you believe it should be?

The fact that most of the data on the next gen missiles is unknown and can’t be known by the general public is in fact a great advantage if you need to play with stats for balancing.

If you don’t care about balance you deserve the status quo.
