The grind on this game is still too much

The games needs income to exist and survive - so people buying premium time and talismans and premium vehicles are the people who Gaijin caters for.

F2P grind is quite deliberately a PITA because you are the product being “sold” to premium players and beyond that you have no value to the game.

Buy top tier premium vehicles or grind - again the snail values you more if you pay them money.

If you want to grind past around 5 you need to buy premium.I really wonder how F2P players ever get to top tier.

I never got the amount of free stuff I get upon signing in each day as a non payer when I had premium. It’s almost as though they dont care once you are singed up. Bit like renewing car insurance.

What’s that?

I sometimes see little low rank bonuses for signing on and I’ll try to claim the… I think I got a new decal a couple of weeks ago :)

The one I think I’d really like is the E-sports camo for the Gladiator - it looks good, but it wouldn’t let me get that :(

Once you’ve signed up they want you to keep signing up - they are actually very egalitarian - they want everybody’s money… because otherwise the game folds!

you think that over 1k hours worth of playtime is worth to get to the end game?

Wake up dude , people have life , the grind on this game is far from anything normal, its not like im going for that content after the end game im yet trying to reach the end game.

This is NOT a patience problem having to play this ammount of time is the reason why you find those dumb ppl on top tier , they are gonna buy those premium vehicles to be able to reach the end game in a decent rate, and if you want to grind for years and years go play some random rpg out there there a re plenty that forces you to play over 5k hours , so your getting that “journey” that you think its great

Your playing the game for what ? , for ww2 tier 3 vehicles ? bc anything over that starts to be a pain to grind

The amount for the SL and RP bonuses were noticeably greater when I stopped Premium after 4 years. Laughably so ,and the amount of bundles given.I also got 1 million SL as F2P while I never got that in four years of premium.

I don’t see any evidence of that other than a painfully slow grind.

Ah - when I started I think the daily bonus coupons always added up to 300 game-percent points - ie a 20% bonus would give you 15 games, 30% 10 games, 100% 3 games, 150% 2 games

These days of course it’s mostly 1 game for anything over 50%.

Er… yes… that is the evidence - it is the “motivation” to pay money as discussed above.

I agree there is plenty of myth and self fore filling prophecies etc on here but this one was very noticeable and actually quite welcome. The less I played the game the greater the freebies became.

I mean it does take way too long, but lets be honest they aren’t gonna change it the cancer grind is their best money maker If it was reasonable it wouldn’t piss you off enough to buy premium vehicles that are variants or premium time. It’s kind of like why events are cancer make it almost impossible for some one with a full time job so you end up paying for it.

I have 3.2k hours and I FINALLY reached top tier germany both in air and ground. Scratch that I don’t have the eurofighter so I’m not top tier air. I got top tier air right before the EF was added.

The best money maker is always to make people want spend money on the game, not force it. Most of those who, for example, spend money right now in order to have a chance of getting top tier without sacrificing their real life, will keep spending money for a chance to of getting top tier in 2-3 nations, because the game will become more fun and enjoyable to them

No! I actually like the idea of a limitless amount of vehicles.

As I have already stated, I believe that the notion of a ‘grind’ is something that you put on yourself.

I don’t want to be the devil’s advocate, but how else is the game supposed to make money? You’d rather have 15 seconds of advertising before the match?

Not sure why you replied to me - I agree - game has to make money, and it wouldn’t be 15 seconds before the match, it would be 15 seconds then, and again after every kill, and 1 minute between…

How do games like fortnite make money? How do games like CS make money (and before you say it’s pay to play, I guarantee you - most of they money CS makes is not from buying the game itself). Game doesn’t need to force you to pay to make money

At the end of the day - topics like this go nowhere. It’s just a bunch of guys (or gals) who haven’t got their head around what free-to-play games are, the psychology behind them, and how grind is good - grind is life. Gaijin keeps making bank and the game continues to grow year-on-year because they understand this.

If you are interested in grinding faster, then the obvious strategy is to focus on one nation until you have touched the bottom of the trees and thereby activate the research bonus. Research does pick up speed when you have gained that.

The grind bonus should progressively stack, so the more nations you fully unlock, the higher the bonus you receive. For example:

  • Unlock 2 nations = 20% bonus
  • Unlock 6 nations = 60% bonus
  • Unlock 10 nations = 100% bonus

Previously i did in fact start a poll, and alot of people backed this…

Would you be interested in this
  • Yes, but it needs more work
  • Yes, it sounds great
  • No, Happy with what we already have
  • No, not interested at all

I do have 100% bonus on most of my stuff. (???)

its an additional 100% so it would be 200% in total, each nation gives an additional 10% increase to bonus %.

I think the message is there but Gaijin dont have the balls to make it clear. To go past 5-6 BR you need premium. F2P is good up to a point then it ceases pretty much unless you have serious hours to throw at it.
Maybe if everybody paid a smaller subscription then Gaijin could drop have the BS they bring in but I also think it has gone beyond that to pure greed and the actual game itself is second rate to making profits now.Auction just highlighted what so many except the dumbest already knew.

I wouldn’t mind if they introduced a monthly subscription. Currently, the premium time doesn’t offer much, and it’s almost essential for a basic grind. A subscription could come with added benefits like monthly backups, discounts when converting RP, and double RP output while grinding. Those are just a few ideas off the top of my head.

I might suggest this…
