The Gepard-style AAA games are absolutely ridiculous and broken for the BR 8+

XM246 is not above Gepard, and especially not Za-35

Yes it is lol

XM246 is way more survivable than Gepard while retaining a center mounted guns. Lemme tell you which can eat a 122mm APHE shell and which can’t. The XM246 can while the Gepard can’t

If you are struggling to kill an XM246 with a 122mm, then that is skill issue and nothing more. You do not even have the XM246.

I have played enough to know which is most survivable based off shooting them alone. XM246 is the only one to take agregous amount of punishment.

You having poor aim against XM246 does not mean it’s especially survivable.

I get it, your on the US suffers bandwagon. I think you seriously underestimate the XM246 then. It is utterly disgusting and overpowered

Nope, that’s not how that works. You do not get to whine about every U.S. vehicle in the game being OP, whilst never even playing them, then try to claim that everyone who disagrees with you simply on the “US suffers bandwagon.”

I never claimed U.S. suffers, and I agree the XM246 is OP. It is simply objectively dishonest to try and claim it’s any stronger than any Gepard other than the chiefstan.

XM making entire rounds simply disappear completely is quite common, that does increase the survivability by quite a lot. Many other SPAAs have a gigantic FCS that can absorb spalling but the XM’s turret is full of extra armor on top of that. And then there’s the M48 chassis which is thicker than the damn Leo 2

The solution is that you yourself play a gepard style AA in return.

I’ve never seen a round “dissapear” without destroying its vert drive, horizontal drive, FCS, commander and gunner, or both breeches (something none of the Gepards have to worry about.

Spall doesn’t spread too well in the Gepard and Marksman from my experience. There’s a pretty small margin of error to kill both commander and gunner when attacking them head on.

Doesn’t seem to be. The Leo 2 Marksman can stop an M60’s sabot, but the XM246 can’t. Either way, I’d say that being protected from some autocannons is more than fair for how slow and bulky the XM246 is.

You cant kill most medium and heavy tanks from the front anyways.
You need to flank them from the side

The XM246 one of the only vehicles he actuslly goes positive in, now I get why he’s so desperate to defend it.

Now we wait for him to mass flag this.

Is your comment supposed to be some sort of gotcha, or are you just addicted to showcasing to everyone how completely detached from reality you are?

What part of me saying it should be raised to 9.0-9.3 makes you think I’m defending it? Like seriously, I didn’t think you were this completely void of thought. Pretty much every SPAA I have recent games in has a positive K/D by nature of SPAAs being braindead easy to play. Like actually this is a new low, even for you.

Nah, it’s just a jab at how mediocre you are at playing ground vehicles against other ground vehicles and at your constant US suffers posting.

The problem is that there are people who voted for the APHE to be made realistic, and now they are dying miserably in the first 3 minutes with their AML-90 and AMX-30 in Br8.0 from the 70s against a Leopard 2 chassis and marksman turret in Br8.7 from the late 90s (actually this turret on the Leopard is from 2016).

Aside from the fact that the damage model is so pathetically implemented, it’s not surprising that they can take a 105mm HEAT round to the turret and barely damage any of its modules, when in reality, simply because they have so little armor, a HEAT round would obliterate the interior 100% of the time. This is what happens when the devs decide that only the APHE round should have overpowered damage, while all other rounds in the game do less damage than in reality.

Yeah, sounds like you either ain’t playing at the BR range at all or you’re on US so you never shoot the damn thing. I have had 400mm+ pen APFSDS just magically cease to exist as it hits the second armor layer, and not everyone is shooting it with insane darts, there’s people with rounds as bad as 20mm HVAP running around at this BR.

Both are extremely vulnerable to shots in the middle of the turret. Gepard has nothing but the FCS covering the turret crew and even that leaves them half exposed, Marksman can be a bit tougher but the crew is covered by…ammo.

And go a tiny little bit higher and you have a thin angled plate that bounces every non-explosive shot straight into the very vulnerable turret, and HE(AT) rounds go straight through. This is a rare case of APHE actually being bad as it might blow up on contact.

Hell, even a ZSU23 could destroy the Marksman without ever shooting at the turret.

Tbf yes, I haven’t played against it a whole lot. The few encounters I did have against it (primarily when the T58 first released) it just exploded from any sneeze to the turret.

Again, I’d say being resistant to autocannons frontally is a fine trade for being so slow.
