But remember realism is not the same as historical accuracy.
I wrote it simple and in a single sentence as you seem to have problems otherwise if the explanation is detailled and giving examples.
I don’t really expect you to understand the difference i am going to be honest here. I am expecting third parties to do so.
but someone should pick up the phone, because i called that this is going to happen. People get what realism means wrong all the time, but in a game where realism is important the definition matters.
Who cares ? Lets at least have a vague attempt at it. Do a job well or don’t bother doing it.
Its not rocket science to group vehicles together in vague time frames in a game in 2024.Its not hard to put modern tanks on modern maps FFS.

If you don’t care then don’t label your claims as more realistic. And don’t call the game unrealistic because it is unhistoric. If you don’t care it should not bother you to do it right. Because you don’t care if your claim is realistic or not. So simply not use it. There are people that care about realism in their game (the textbook definition).
So please stop bothering about realism. What you care about is “historical authenticity”. You want the game to be authentic not realistic.
Of course not, i never claimed otherwise. Gaijin could easily do both, they used to. back in 2014 there were regular historical events with historical lineus and so on.
The “regular matches” would need to stay though since there are so many vehicles now that never had any combat operations and researching them would be useless. But bring the events back so that everyday one is going on. Those were great.

No I want War Thunder on the Xbox with vehicles of a similar era fighting each other which is what the adverts claimed.
it is also mostly what we had when I started and I am not by any means an old veteran. That is why we have an attempt at proper decals and vehicles models.

You need to calm down and actually read what people are telling you calmly, you would understand why it gets frustrating. (this post was a good example, everything i wrote was factual, and a tank sim was mentioned in the context and it was pinned on you, so my post was perfectly within context)
